The Information System Society proudly showcased their talent, teamwork, and enthusiasm during the first CAS RUMPAGAS held on October 28, 2025, and continued to shine on Day 2 of CAS RUMPAGAS held on October 29, 2025!

𝙄𝙎 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘿𝙖𝙮 2025

The BSIS Society successfully conducted an activity themed “IS Advancement Day” on October 22, 2025, held at the Convention, 3rd Floor. The event served as an avenue for Information Systems students to gain valuable insights and showcase their talents.

The program opened with inspiring words from Dr. Florabelle B. Patosa, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, who encouraged students to pursue continuous learning and professional growth. The highlight of the event was an enlightening session on Business Analytics and Business Intelligence, delivered by Ms. Sweet Mercy F. Pacolor, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Her discussion broadened the students’ understanding of current trends and applications in the IS field. The venue was filled with enthusiasm and camaraderie as students actively participated in various competitions, demonstrating their skills, creativity, and teamwork.

To formally close the event, Mr. Mark Angelo S. Bathan delivered heartfelt closing remarks, inspiring IS students to remain proactive and engaged in their academic and professional journeys. The activity concluded successfully, marking another milestone for the BSIS Society in fostering learning, unity, and innovation among IS students.

𝘿𝙊𝙉𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝘿𝙍𝙄𝙑𝙀 𝙁𝙊𝙍 𝙏𝘼𝙂𝘼𝙋𝙐𝙇-𝘼𝙉, 𝙎𝘼𝙈𝘼𝙍 | 𝙏𝙔𝙋𝙃𝙊𝙊𝙉 𝙊𝙋𝙊𝙉𝙂 𝙍𝙀𝙇𝙄𝙀𝙁 𝙊𝙋𝙀𝙍𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉

In the wake of Typhoon Opong, many of our kababayans in Tagapul-an, Samar are facing unimaginable challenges. Homes have been destroyed, families displaced, and communities left struggling to rebuild after the devastation brought by the storm.

Now, more than ever, they need our help.

We are launching a Donation Drive to extend our love, compassion, and support to the affected families in Tagapul-an, Samar. Every contribution whether in the form of food, clothing, water, hygiene kits, or monetary assistance will go a long way in helping them get back on their feet.

September 3, 2025 – NCAS14 served as the venue for the highly anticipated election of municipal officers and the Information Systems (IS) Society leaders. The event showcased the active participation of students and community members in shaping their leadership.

Following the elections, organizational matters and other pertinent issues were discussed, fostering a collaborative environment and setting the stage for future initiatives. As the newly elected leaders step into their roles, they embrace the responsibilities that come with their positions. Responsibility, dedication, and discipline are paramount qualities required to effectively lead and serve the community and the IS Society.

The election day concluded successfully, marking a significant step forward in empowering student governance and community leadership. The newly elected officers are poised to embark on their journey, committed to upholding the values and aspirations of those they represent.

September 5, 2025 marked Day 4 and the final day of the activities at the SSU Grounds. The closing program was highlighted by the awarding of certificates to all participating student organizations, including the Bachelor of Science in Information System, in recognition of their active involvement and significant contributions to the success of the week-long event.

This closing ceremony signified not only the conclusion of the activities but also reaffirmed the University’s commitment to nurturing innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit within the student body.

The University’s Student Entrepreneurial and Exposition Week 2025 continued on September 4, 2025, marking Day 3 of the week-long activity at the SSU Grounds.

This day placed emphasis on the sustained exhibition of student innovations and entrepreneurial ventures, showcasing not only the creativity and ingenuity of the participants but also their potential to contribute to community and economic development.

The event reaffirmed the University’s role in cultivating academic excellence while fostering entrepreneurial spirit among its students.

The University officially commenced the Student Entrepreneurial and Exposition Week 2025 on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at the SSU Grounds. Day 1 featured the opening program and the showcase of student-led innovations and enterprises.

September 3, 2025, marks Day 2 of the exposition, highlighting the continued presentation of entrepreneurial products and services developed by our students.

This annual event serves as a platform to promote innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit within the student community, aligned with the University’s commitment to academic excellence and socio-economic development.

Today, we joyfully honor our Associate Dean, 𝙈𝙨. 𝙎𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙘𝙮 𝙋𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧 on her special day, acknowledging her steadfast commitment and boundless affection for her students.
