Vestra bags gold in PhIMO ‘23 🏅

Rania Emmannuelle Vestra, a grade-six student of St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan Inc. bagged a gold medal in the recently concluded Philippine International Mathematical Olympiad (PhIMO) – Final Round which took place on September 22-25, in Davao City, Philippines.

With over 377 onsite delegates from the different countries in the world, Vestra is one of the participants who survived and managed to get a gold medal – the highest distinction of the game.

Prior to this, Vestra also garnered gold medals during the National Mathematical Olympiad 2023 – Primo Heat Round and International Kangaroo Mathematics 2023 held on March 18 and April 8, 2023, respectively.

Vestra is a renowned pupil in the campus for her multiple winning achievements in the division, national, and international competitions making its home, the SMCC to be recognize nationally and internationally.

HAPPENING NOW | The Horizon, the official school publication of St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan is currently holding a Campus Journalism Screening for aspiring journalists at the Library today, September 18.

The said event started with a journalism orientation discussing its different categories that were organized by the new publication advisers; Ms. Realyn A. Palmiano and Ms. Mary Anne Claveles together with the former staffs & editors of the said publication.
