CATBALOGAN CITY โ The air at the Modesto Restaurant and Barโs function hall was thick with nostalgia and holiday cheer as the College of Education (COED) Biological Science Class of 2018, affectionately known as "Ka-Bio," gathered for a long-awaited Christmas reunion.
Years after swapping their lab gowns for professional teaching licenses, the batch proved that while time passes, the "biological bond" remains unbreakable.

The festive gathering was the brainchild of Class President Mr. Gerrymar Borden, whose leadership ensured a high turnout and a seamless program. Working in close coordination was Joan May Matilla, who served as the event's finance manager, ensuring the evening was as grand as the milestone deserved.
The venue was transformed into a hub of laughter and reminiscing, providing the perfect backdrop for classmates to reconnect and share stories of their professional journeys since graduating seven years ago.

The evening was graced by a very special guest: Dr. Laura B. Boller, the current Dean of COED. For the Ka-Bio class, Dr. Boller is more than an administrator; she was their former English teacher and the student teaching supervisor who guided them through the rigors of their senior year.
In a moving Christmas message, Dr. Boller praised the class for their enduring solidarity.
"The bond of friendship among these Biological Science majors is truly remarkable," Dr. Boller noted. She officially congratulated the organizers for the eventโs success and expressed a hopeful vision for the future: that this gathering would serve as the foundational spark for a formal COED Alumni Association, a project long in the planning stages.
Adding to the sentiment of the night, Maโam Diana Shane Balindo shared a heartfelt message, expressing her deep gratitude for the opportunity to have been a teacher to the Ka-Bio class, noting their unique spirit and dedication.

The reunion wasn't just about speeches; it was a high-energy celebration. The hall echoed with music and cheers during:
- Parlor Games: Testing the competitive spirit of the former students.
- Impromptu Dance-Offs: Proving the batch has moves beyond the classroom.
- Singing Contests: Showcasing the hidden vocal talents of the Class of 2018.

As the night concluded, Dr. Boller and the class officers are positive for the years to come, encouraging those who couldn't attend this year to join the growing Ka-Bio family in future celebrations.
What started as a simple Christmas party has now evolved into a mission: to keep the spirit of the 2018 COED graduates alive and to lead the way for all alumni of the college.
