HRD THOUGHTS:

This quote by Tom Peters emphasizes the importance of attitude over skills when hiring new employees. It suggests that having the right attitude, such as a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, is more important than having the perfect set of skills for a job. Skills can be taught and developed over time, but a negative or toxic attitude can be very difficult to change. Therefore, it’s better to hire someone with a positive attitude and train them in the necessary skills, rather than hiring someone with the perfect skills but a negative or incompatible attitude. This approach can lead to a more cohesive and positive work environment, where employees are motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to their work.
