It was a big night for the Cooperative Management program as their candidate, Bernadeth Turla, a 2nd year student, took home the 1st Runner-Up spot at the Mr. & Ms. CBA pageant.

The crowd was filled with her fellow students who cheered for her every step of the way. Their hard work in supporting her paid off when her name was called for the top spot.

The entire department is now celebrating this big achievement, proving that Coop students can truly shine on the big stage.✨

LOOK || CBA Days 2026 Day 1 Begins; Students Lead the Celebration

CBA Days 2026 officially opened on February 18 with the theme “The CBA Story: Once Upon a Legacy.” Students and faculty of the College of Business Administration gathered to celebrate unity, pride, and the college’s lasting legacy.

The day started with a parade to the gymnasium, followed by a prayer and the singing of the national and university hymns. Dr. Jovie B. Viva encouraged everyone to reflect on their identity and shared goals as a CBA community.

Students represented their fairytale-inspired houses—Descendants of Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Jafar, and the Evil Queen showcasing energetic chants and banners.

Guest speaker Atty. Jarem J. Remegio inspired students to build their own legacy through wise choices and perseverance. University officials, including Dr. Ronato S. Ballado, also shared messages emphasizing excellence, positivity, and meaningful experiences.

The program featured accomplishment reports from student organizations and the casual attire showcase of Ms. and Mr. CBA candidates. The event concluded with Dean Atty. Emily C. Sison-Acompañado commending the community’s enthusiasm and encouraging everyone to continue upholding the college’s legacy.

Preparation for CBA Days is officially underway. Thank you as well to the SHARE Officers for the shared insights, ideas and collaboration that made this meeting a success. ✨

Congratulations to the third-year students behind the business “VegCrumb Producers Cooperative” recently finished a successful online marketing festival. They sold many cookies during this event and shared a part of their profit. This amount was donated to children who are in need. As cooperative students, they applied the cooperative principle, combining entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship. They prove that young businesses can succeed while also serving the community. Well done, VegCrumb!👏

The success of the “VegCrumb” is also attributed to the guidance of their academic mentors. The students offered sincere thanks to their department chair, Ma’am Jellyn Sanico and to Ma’am Jeddah Abuke for their dedicated guidance and valuable knowledge that made this successful. ❤️

LOOK || Capacity Building Program on Cooperative Youth Leadership Training

The Cooperative Student Organization (CSO) Representatives participated in the Capacity Building Program on Cooperative Youth Leadership Training held at Ibabao Hall, Provincial Capitol, on October 4, 2025.

The event was led by Ms. Geli Cabuhat-Generale, Vice Chairperson of the International Cooperative Alliance - Asia Pacific Youth Committee. It gathered various youth organizations across Northern Samar for a meaningful and productive discussion on cooperative leadership and youth empowerment.

The program served as an important step for the Cooperative Student Organization in strengthening its leadership skills and deepening its understanding of cooperative principles. It also inspired the organization to continue promoting youth involvement in economic empowerment and sustainable development.
