The Hospitality Management Department extends its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the late Ms. Alexa Krystel P. Galan, a former 2nd Year BSHM student at the University of Eastern Philippines. Her untimely passing is a loss to our academic community, and we mourn the departure of a bright and dedicated student.

Ms. Galan was known for her service and commitment to the program. As a 1st Year Representative of the Society for Hotel and Restaurant Excellence - UEP (SHARE) 2024-2025, she demonstrated remarkable initiative, participation, and passion for the Hospitality Management Department. Her legacy will live on through the memories and impact she created within our department.

This April, we celebrate the richness of Filipino cuisine with the theme “Connected by Taste: The Filipino Food in the Flavors of ASEAN.” A celebration of culture, identity, and shared heritage, Filipino Food Month highlights how our flavors connect us across the region and tell the story of who we are as a people.

As the leading national student organization in tourism and hospitality, the Junior Tourism and Hospitality Management Association of the Philippines (JTHMAP) proudly stands in support of this nationwide celebration. Together, we champion Filipino culinary heritage as a vital part of our culture and as a bridge that unites communities across ASEAN.
