📢 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘂𝗽, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗘𝗱 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿!

In line with our commitment to safety, preparedness, and bayanihan, the Schools Division of Northern Samar will hold its 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝘂𝗺 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 on June 7, 2025, at 8:00 AM at Victoria Covered Court, Victoria, Northern Samar. 🛠️🏫

This activity aims to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment through risk assessments, hazard mapping, and school maintenance efforts. All education stakeholders, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and community volunteers are encouraged to participate in this meaningful event!

🧹 Activities include:
✔️ Risk assessment and hazard mapping
✔️ Cleaning school surroundings
✔️ Minor repairs of school facilities

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 - in the spirit of Brigada Eskwela, the Department of Education – Division of Northern Samar reaffirms its commitment to building strong public-private partnerships through the Adopt-a-School Program, as guided by Republic Act No. 8525 — “𝘈𝘯 𝘈𝘤𝘵 𝘌𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘱𝘵-𝘢-𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮, 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴.”

This initiative underscores a vital shift: moving away from traditional solicitation and toward voluntary donations from stakeholders and private entities. By doing so, DepEd upholds its No Collection Policy while opening avenues for the community to actively contribute to the improvement of public schools, with the added benefit of tax incentives for participating donors.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Radyo Pilipinas Catarman and the Philippine Information Agency – Northern Samar, led by Ma'am Ailene Franzuela Nalazon-Diaz and Ma'am Teresita Cardenas, for their continued advocacy and for providing free airtime through “𝘏𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘸 𝘴𝘢 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘥𝘵𝘰.” This platform has been instrumental in raising awareness and mobilizing community support for DepEd’s programs.

Likewise, we recognize Sir Rodel C. Lutao, Senior Education Program Specialist and Head of the Social Mobilization and Networking Unit of DepEd Northern Samar, for actively representing the Division and promoting the core values of partnership, transparency, and bayanihan.

Through the joint efforts of media, government, educators, and stakeholders, we are not just preparing schools for the new academic year — we are building a culture of shared responsibility and sustainable support for the future of education in Northern Samar.

The SDO Northern Samar – Division Youth Formation has shared an infographic packed with easy-to-follow tips to help us beat the heat. From staying hydrated to avoiding caffeine during the hottest hours of the day, these tips are essential for keeping our bodies safe from the sun's intense rays. 🌊💧

To all schools whose contingency plans have been reviewed and approved but have not yet been claimed, please pick up your copies at the SOCMOB office as soon as possible. These documents should no longer be kept in the office, as new files continue to arrive, requiring better space management. Therefore, they must be properly distributed and utilized.

ADVISORY

This is to formally inform the field that the Northern Samar Division Federated Parent-Teacher Association (NSDFPTA) will be conducting a Monthly Meeting slated on April 4, 2025 at Onay Beach, Laoang Northern Samar.

With this advisory, the District Heads are requested to inform the Municipal Federated PTA Presidents (MFPTA) to attend the said meeting or their duly representatives to attain the goals of this activity.

District Heads of Allen and Victoria are enjoined to inform and remind the Municipal Federated PTA Presidents of these Districts to identify their Municipal Federated PTA Presidents, and to actively partake in the undertakings of the organization such as the call for meetings, since up to this date, these areas have not identified their MFPTA yet.

The DepEd Northern Samar is committed to supporting the Northern Samar Division Federated PTA as one of our stakeholders in furtherance of quality and inclusive education for our learners.

𝙇𝙊𝙊𝙆|| 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

In line with the observance of Fire Prevention Month, the Social Mobilization - DRRM successfully organized a Multi-Hazard Drill on March 24, 2025. The event aimed to enhance disaster preparedness and response among representatives from various division offices.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) -Catarman, led by Local DRRM Officer Ma'am Emerald E. Guevarra and her team, conducted an insightful orientation at the beginning of the event. Following this, they facilitated a well-executed earthquake drill, ensuring that DepEd officials and staff across the division were equipped with essential safety protocols.

In the afternoon, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - Catarman took the lead in conducting a fire drill. Their demonstration not only showcased proper fire response techniques but also provided participants with hands-on experience in handling fire emergencies.

On behalf of Social Mobilization and DRRM, we extend our sincere gratitude to DRRMO-Catarman and the Bureau of Fire Protection - Catarman for their invaluable expertise and commitment to strengthening our disaster preparedness efforts.

Through activities like these, we continue to foster a culture of safety and resilience within our community. Let us remain vigilant and proactive in ensuring the well-being of everyone in times of emergencies.
