Thank you also to Sir Edgardo Tan, his ever-supportive cooperating teacher, and Teacher Edwin Laureano for allowing the use of his classroom.

Staying hydrated during hot weather is essential for both physical and mental health. Here are some tips to help you stay cool and hydrated:

☑Drink Plenty of Fluids: Even if you don’t feel thirsty, make sure to drink water throughout the day. Dehydration can impact how well your body functions and may affect mood and concentration even after just a 1% loss of fluids12.

☑Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to your thirst. Humans have an excellent ability to use their thirst sensation as a clue that they need to drink more. Trust your body’s signals and drink when you feel thirsty1.

☑Schedule Outdoor Activities Carefully: Try to avoid being outdoors during the hottest parts of the day. If you need to be outside, take breaks in the shade and stay hydrated2.

☑Wear Lightweight, Loose-Fitting Clothing and Sunscreen: Protect yourself from the sun by wearing breathable clothing and applying sunscreen. This helps prevent overheating and sunburn2.

☑Pace Yourself: Don’t overexert yourself in the heat. Take breaks and rest when needed to avoid excessive sweating and dehydration2.

☑Cool Showers or Baths: Taking cool showers or baths can help lower your body temperature and provide relief from the heat2.
