On to their next games in the Eastern Visayas Collegiate Athletic Association (EVCAA) Season 2, the University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) Buffalos arrived at Visayas State University (VSU) Tolosa Campus, Tolosa Leyte on 15 September 2023 for their second and third games scheduled on 16 September 2023 and 17 September 2023, respectively.

The Office of the University President, led by Dr. Cherry I. Ultra, once again congratulates Mr. Vensor Domasig, a BS Electrical Engineering senior for having been declared a fourth-time champion in the "Tawag ng Tanghalan" segment of the ABS CBN's noontime, "It's Showtime."

Recently, Mr. Domasig has been declared a semi-finalist, who'll get the chance to clinch the grand champion title for the contest's 7th Season.

In line with the University of Eastern Philippines’ dream of establishing of a College of Medicine, a Consultative Meeting was conducted on 4 September 2023 at the Moot Court, College of Law, UEP.

Dr. Ma. Cecilia Cuaresma-Cruz, a pillar in medical health profession cm education graced the event as Resource Speaker and Consultant. She discussed the overview of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) requirements for the establishment of College of Medicine based on the CMO No. 18, series of 2016 and Unified Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Tool; the significance of identifying the core team members; the 12-area requirements for CHED accreditation; and the timeline formulation for the completion of the requirements.

As mentioned by the University President, Dr. Cherry I. Ultra on her Opening Remarks, “UEP plans to establish a medical college in response to the needs of medical doctors in the province – who will serve the urban and rural poor.”

The vice presidents, college deans, directors, and other university officials participated in this academic undertaking.
