STEM- Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics

Innovation leads to new products and processes that sustain our economy. This innovation and science literacy depends on a solid knowledge base in the STEM areas. STEM pervades every part of our lives. SCIENCE is everywhere in the world around us. TECHNOLOGY is continuously expanding into every aspect of our lives. ENGINEERING is the basic designs of roads and bridges, but also tackles the challenges of changing global weather and environmentally-friendly changes to our home. MATHEMATICS is in every occupation, every activity we do in our lives. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a job in a STEM field. STEM pervades every part of our lives.

Science Engineering Mathematics

Strand na mapapasabunot ka nalang sa frustration kasi hindi mo makuha ang tamang sagot kahit ilang solution na gawin mo. Strand na nakakainis kasi ang daming expectation na ilalagay sayo. Strand na puro reporting at activities, kailangan talaga matinding time management. Strand na estudyante ang magpupuno at maghahabol sa grado. Strand na sa sobrang naloka ka na sa kasosolve kahit -1x1 I ka-calculator mo pa.

Syempre kong matalino ka talaga katulad nang mga honors dyan, madadalian ka. Pero para sa mga makakapal ang mukhang nag STEM kahit hirap na hirap na umintindi nang Pre-calculus na kahit basic rule of integers ay hindi nagagawa, MAHIRAP ang STEM, NAKAKAPAGOD ang STEM, NAKAKABALIW ang STEM.
Pero alam nyo?

MAHIRAP ANG STEM, Oo mahirap, pero it's part of the challenge!. You get to break free from your limitations and see what you can really do. No comfort zones no reservations!, yung tipong kahit feeling mo di mo kaya kailangan mong gawin,tas pag nagawa mo na marerealize mo na, Kaya pala!, at nakakafulfill!.

NAKAKAPAGOD ANG STEM. Syempre kasi ano bang trabaho ang hindi ka napapagod?, but here in STEM you learn to persist and adapt, walang pagod pagud. Yung eenjoyin mo na ang pagsosolve nang mga mathematical equation, ang pagrereport halos every day, of course may mga time talaga na mapapagod ka but once you see your work, how much you've grown AND how far you came?, mawawala ang pagod nyo.

So ano nga bang point namin?.

Don't be afraid of things that seem hard. because with hard work and determination makakaya ang lahat.

Don't be afraid of things you've yet to try. baka kasi i-hold back mo ang potential mo just because you were afraid. "You won't know until you try."

Don't be afraid to fail. Because everybody fails at some point, I'm not saying be happy that you failed, I'm just saying that it's part of life and it's nothing to be ashamed of, rather it's an experience we can learn from.

STEM STANDS FOR:

SCIENCE

-Is a knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts on learned through experiments and observations.
-It's also a particular area of scientific study such as biology, physics or chemistry.

TECHNOLOGY

- Is the specialized aspects of a particular field of endeavor.
- The use of science in industry, engineering, etc., to invent useful things or to solve problems.

ENGINEERING

-The work of designing and creating large structure such as roads and bridges or new products or systems by using scientific methods.

MATHEMATICS

-The science of numbers, quatities, and shapes and the relations between them, and also the operations interrelations, combinations, generalization and abstractions and of space configurations and their structure, measurement, transformations, and generalizations.

SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS ARE CLOSELY AFFILIATED TOWARDS EACH OTHER. THEY ARE CONNECTED IN SOME WAY. THEY HAVE SOME THE SAME QUALITIES, CHARACTERISTICS, ETC., THAT MAKES THEM INTERCONNECTED WITH EACH OTHER.
