Today, the Saint Michael Academy community joins the Dominican family in celebrating St. Dominic de Guzman, a faithful preacher, seeker of truth, and servant of God.

Inspired by his life and mission, may every Michaelian continue to be rooted in faith, courageous in seeking truth, and generous in serving others. May we carry the Dominican spirit not only in what we learn, but also in the way we speak, lead, and love.

As one SMA community, let us continue to contemplate truth and share with others the fruits of our contemplation—becoming bearers of light, hope, and compassion wherever we are called to serve.

330 YEARS OF GRACE, TRUTH, AND MISSION

From the humble beginnings of the Beaterio de Sta. Catalina de Sena in Intramuros, Manila, a sacred mission was born on July 26, 1696. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, Venerable Mother Francisca del Espiritu Santo de Fuentes, together with her companions and guided by Fr. Juan de Santo Domingo, OP, courageously established a community devoted to prayer, Dominican spirituality, compassionate service, and the formation of the young.

Through trials, sacrifices, and changing generations, the small community continued to grow—bringing the light of faith, the pursuit of truth, and compassionate service to schools, missions, families, and communities.

Today, St. Michael Academy of Catarman joyfully joins the entire OP-Siena family in celebrating the 330th Congregational Foundation Day of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena.

With grateful hearts, we honor the Sisters who came before us, celebrate those who continue the mission today, and pray for the future generations who will carry forward the enduring legacy of Mother Francisca.

May we remain steadfast in our shared mission—
rooted in prayer, passionate for truth, compassionate toward humanity, and faithful in loving and serving God.
