𝑫𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒔, 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.

The SorSU Phytoscience Society (PSS) proudly joined fellow young leaders and student organizations at the Sorsoganon Youth Summit 2026, held on September 23, 2026 at the Sorsogon Provincial Gymnasium, Capitol Compound.
The summit featured inspiring discussions from distinguished speakers who shared valuable insights on innovation, education, technology, research, and the future of the youth:

Ms. Teresita A. Loria (DICT) — “From Local Apps to Global Solutions”, highlighting how digital innovation and locally developed solutions can create wider impact.

Jaya F. Jarabejo (DTI) — “Leveraging the Tech-Enabled Creative Industry”, emphasizing emerging opportunities for young people in the digital and creative economy.

Dr. Catherine A. De Castro (SSU) — “Education in the Modern World”, discussing the importance of adaptability, innovation, and future-ready learning.

Patricia Andes (DOST) — “Lab to World”, inspiring young people to transform scientific research and ideas into practical solutions for communities.
🤖 The summit also explored the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, research, innovation, industries, and leadership—while emphasizing the importance of responsible use, critical thinking, creativity, and human-centered decision-making.

May we continue to cultivate knowledge, nurture innovation, and grow as young leaders who contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for agriculture and our communities.

𝗪𝗜𝗞𝗔, 𝗞𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔, 𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗔𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡 | 𝗕𝗨𝗪𝗔𝗡 𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗜𝗞𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲🌾🇵🇭

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2026, ipinamalas ng Departamento ng Crop Science ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa, malikhaing pagpapahayag, at pagpapahalaga sa ating sariling wika at kultura.

Sa temang “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” naging daan ang makabagong teknolohiya upang mas mapalawak ang kaalaman at mas maging makabuluhan ang ating pakikipag-ugnayan sa isa’t isa.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng pagdiriwang, lalo na sa SorSU Phytoscience Society, na nagbigay ng oras, suporta, at dedikasyon upang maging matagumpay ang programa.

Tulad ng isang pananim na inaalagaan upang lumago, patuloy din nating pagyamanin ang ating wika, kultura, at kaalaman upang makamit ang mas magandang kinabukasan. 🌱

Mabuhay ang Wikang Filipino! Mabuhay ang Crop Science! 🇵🇭🌾

🌺BUWAN NG WIKA 2026 — MGA NGITI, TAWA, AT ALAALA! 🇵🇭✨

From proud Filipino outfits to loud cheers, fun activities, and unforgettable moments—our Buwan ng Wika celebration was definitely one for the books! ❤️

More than just celebrating our language and culture, this event gave us a chance to enjoy, laugh, connect, and create memories together. From the preparations hanggang sa mismong event, bawat pagod ay napalitan ng saya, tawanan, at moments na siguradong maaalala natin. 🫶

A special thank you to our President John Loyd for being active, attentive, and always present throughout the preparation and celebration. Your support, initiative, and willingness to help truly made a difference. 🤍

We also want to express our deepest appreciation to our Adviser Sir Marlon for generously giving his time, patience, and guidance throughout this journey. Thank you for being there to guide us, listen to our ideas, and help us whenever we needed direction. Your support played a huge part in making this celebration possible. 🫂✨

And of course, saludo sa lahat ng officers and students of our department who shared their time, effort, creativity, and energy. From the smallest tasks to the biggest responsibilities, every contribution helped bring this celebration to life. This wouldn’t have been possible without everyone who showed up and gave their part. ❤️
