One key concept discussed was โ€œcultural heritage chemistryโ€ which illustrates how science is embedded in traditional knowledge and practices of Indigenous communities.

The program served as an important platform to raise awareness about the significance of ๐—œ๐—ฃ ๐—˜๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป and its role in preserving and enriching our cultural heritage

On March 19, 2026, the ASCOT Indigenous Peoples Center, led by ๐ท๐‘Ÿ. ๐ด๐‘›๐‘ก๐‘œ๐‘›๐‘–๐‘œ ๐ท. ๐ต๐‘œ๐‘™๐‘–๐‘ฃ๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ ๐ผ๐ผ๐ผ, warmly welcomed DLSU student ๐‘€๐‘Ÿ. ๐ธ๐‘‘ ๐‘‰๐‘–๐‘™๐‘™๐‘Ž๐‘š๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ and his daughter. The visit was part of Mr. Villamorโ€™s research on the culture and way of life of indigenous communities, with a focus on promoting inclusivity and mutual understanding

Through the IP Center, Mr. Villamor engaged directly with community members in Brgy. Cozo, Casiguran, Aurora, particularly in Sitio Dipontian. He had discussions with ๐ถโ„Ž๐‘–๐‘’๐‘“๐‘ก๐‘Ž๐‘–๐‘› ๐ป๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘Ž๐‘™๐‘’๐‘ฆ ๐ต๐‘–๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘”๐‘Ž๐‘› (Dumaguipo Chieftain) and ๐ถโ„Ž๐‘–๐‘’๐‘“๐‘ก๐‘Ž๐‘–๐‘› ๐ฟ๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘–๐‘”๐‘–๐‘’ ๐‘ƒ๐‘Ÿ๐‘Ž๐‘‘๐‘œ, where they shared thoughts and stories about their culture and perspectives. The Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) will implement a Four-Day Work Week Arrangement starting March 9, 2026. Under this scheme, employees will work four (4) days on-site and one (1) day from home (WFH).

This policy aligns with Memorandum Circular No. 114, s. 2026, CSC Memorandum Circular No. 6, s. 2022, and ASCOT Board Resolution No. 64, s. 2022, supporting the governmentโ€™s energy conservation efforts while maintaining continuous academic and administrative services.

Offices providing frontline services shall continue to operate as necessary. Faculty members shall still conduct their scheduled classes every Friday through online synchronous learning.
