Cavite State University (CvSU)โCarmona Campus successfully conducted its ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐น๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ป๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ข๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป for the ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒโ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ณ on ๐๐๐ด๐๐๐ ๐ฑ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ at the ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฑ๐ถ๐ผ-๐ฉ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ผ๐บ. The whole-day activity gathered faculty members and non-academic personnel to strengthen professional competencies, promote employee well-being, and ensure institutional readiness for the opening of the new academic year.
The program formally commenced with the prayer, singing of the National Anthem, Cavite Hymn, and Carmona Hymn, followed by the opening remarks of Asst. Prof. Robert Jan R. Bayan, campus QAAC/planning officer. In his message, he underscored the importance of continuous professional development, collaboration, and shared responsibility in advancing the University's commitment to quality service.
The activity featured a series of expert-led learning sessions centered on workplace effectiveness and student support. Ms. Jamaica Ann L. Santos, psychometrician, facilitated the first session entitled "Emotional Intelligence and Anger Management in the Academic Workplace," where she discussed practical strategies for strengthening emotional resilience, managing workplace stress, and fostering healthy professional relationships.
The second session was delivered by Mr. Leonardo V. Paunil, psychometrician, psychologist, and Gender and Development coordinator, who discussed "Managing Challenging Student Behaviors through Effective Communication and De-escalation." Participants gained valuable insights into effective communication techniques, conflict management, and appropriate intervention strategies for addressing challenging student behaviors while maintaining a supportive learning environment.
To further strengthen campus support services, Asst. Prof. Ron Erik C. Frontuna, head of the Office of Student Affairs and Services, presented "Student Referral System and Mental Health First Response." His discussion emphasized the University's commitment to promoting student well-being through timely intervention, appropriate referral mechanisms, and coordinated support services.
Following the learning sessions, the program featured the introduction of the campus' non-academic personnel and faculty members by department. The afternoon program continued with important institutional updates and reminders from Mr. Joseph E. Cuarez, campus registrar, who discussed preparations for the opening of classes on August 10. Assoc. Prof. Rochelle C. Malabayabas, campus secretary, presented campus-wide administrative reminders, while representatives from various offices and units shared essential announcements and operational updates.
During the campus administrator's hour, Dr. Jenny Beb F. Espineli formally welcomed all faculty members and personnel to the new academic year. In her message, she reaffirmed the University's core values of Truth, Integrity, Excellence, and Service, encouraging every member of the CvSU-Carmona community to embody these principles in the performance of their duties.
The activity concluded with the community singing of the CvSU Hymn, marking a unified expression of pride, solidarity, and commitment among faculty members and non-academic personnel as they begin the Academic Year 2026โ2027 with renewed purpose and dedication to the University's mission.
