is a serious problem that affects people all around the world. It includes different kinds of abuse, like physical, sexual, emotional, and psychological harm, based on someone's gender or age. Sadly, there are many wrong beliefs and misunderstandings about this issue that make it harder to address and stop. These myths can spread harmful stereotypes, blame the victims, and keep the violence going. To make things better, we need to separate the truth from these false ideas and understand what's happening.

By learning the truth, we can challenge the wrong beliefs, share accurate information, and understand why this problem happens. Throughout history, there have been many myths that have made it harder to stop violence. These myths blame the victims or make excuses for the abusers. But we need to replace these false ideas with the real facts that come from research, experts, and the experiences of real people. By doing this, we can work towards preventing violence, and helping the victims, and we can take important steps towards ending violence against women and children, promoting equality, and creating safer places for everyone.

To understand and put an end to violence, one must be aware of it.

We can prevent the violence against the women by using these methods. Itโ€™s fortunate that we can start teaching children at a young age since, in the modern day, women who experience abuse are mostly the young adults.
So, for their sake and ours, let us train them to be knowledgeable about everything.

The 18-Days Campaign to End VAWC supports the Philippine government's goal of protecting the human rights of women and girls by upholding its commitment to address all forms of gender-based violence as enshrined in the 1987 Constitution.

If you think that one of your friends is being violent or abusive, let them know that the behaviour is not cool and itโ€™s hurtful. Tell them they are responsible for their actions, and that there is help available. If you think that a friend, family member, or even a person you do not know very well is being abused, offer them your support. Encourage them to seek help, and let them know that they are not to blame for the abuse. There is power in numbers, and it helps just to know that youโ€™re not alone.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11648 IS AN ACT PROMOTING FOR STRONGER PROTECTION AGAINST R**E AND SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE, INCREASING THE AGE FOR DETERMINING THE COMMISSION OF STATUTORY R**E, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE ACT NO. 3815, AS AMENDED, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "THE REVISED PENAL CODE," REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8353, ALSO KNOWN AS "THE ANTI-R**E LAW OF 1997," AND REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7610, AS AMENDED, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE "SPECIAL PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AGAINST ABUSE, EXPLOITATION AND DISCRIMINATION ACT" IT WAS SIGNED AND APPROVED BY FORMER PRESIDENT RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE ON MARCH 04, 2022.

Generally, most women and girls do not report when they have been r***d. Due to stigma, victim-blaming, and sometimes the possibility of being killed for โ€œhonorโ€ and for other reason is the lack of faith in the justice system. This is why this campaign encourages women to let their voice be heard and believe that our justice system is still fair and square.

Let us break the silence for once and together we can stop the violence against women and children.

There are various laws in the Philippines that address and prevent r**e. The most notable of these is the Anti-R**e Law of 1997, also known as Republic Act No. 8353. R**e is defined in this law as the act of having sexual in*******se with a person under particular conditions without their permission. It also recognizes a variety of sexual offenses and enforces appropriate punishments.

R**e is a heinous crime that leaves indelible scars on its survivors. It is a terrible violation of human rights and a complete disregard for consent. We must stand united to combat this abhorrent act and advocate for justice and support for survivors. R**e destroys lives, and it is our job to establish a culture in which no one is afraid of such a horrible deed. In our 18-day campaign, we would like to spread awareness to VAWC, but also to laws that provides protection to VAWC victims in which anti-r**e act is a part of. It is important that communities spread awareness to these information to creat a safe and healthy environment for all.

This Law serves as a vital safeguard for individual human rights, particularly in preventing and addressing instances of sexual violence. This legislation is designed to precisely define the parameters of r**e, determining guilt, and outlining appropriate penalties for offenders. Its primary goal is to protect individuals from sexual violence and provide justice for victims.
