Nagkaroon po ng hindi inaasahang breakage sa linya ng tubig ng Laguna Water sa Santo Tomas. Dahil rito magkakaroon ng emergency leak repair sa naturang lugar na magdudulot ng water service interruption sa mga nabanggit na barangays at lugar sa itaas.

Magpapadala po ng mga water tankers ang Laguna Water upang pansamantalang magbigay ng suplay ng tubig sa mga apektadong lugar.

Bisitahin ang Laguna Water page upang maging updated sa naturang activity. Ginagawa na po namin ang lahat upang maibalik kaagad sa normal ang water service sa mga apektadong lugar.

Maraming salamat po sa pang-unawa at kami ay humihingi ng paumanhin sa anumang abalang maidudulot ng naturang EMERGENCY ACTIVITY.

NYC to Young Pinoys: Set aside FOMO for Earth Hour

“Let’s set aside our fear of missing out (FOMO) for an hour for earth hour”.

This was the call made by National Youth Commission (NYC) Chairperson Aiza Seguerra as the country prepares to join other nations on March 24 in sending a clear and strong message to take more serious steps in protecting our planet’s biodiversity from the effects of climate change.

“Aside from switching off our lights, we enjoin our young people, especially millennials, to disconnect from their mobile devices and instead connect with the planet ( ), and for an hour, dedicate the symbolic switch-off to commit to live a climate-smart lifestyle,” shares Seguerra.

NYC is also encouraging its volunteers and registered youth organizations to join local Earth Hour activities and commit to go beyond the hour by living more sustainably to minimize our ecological imprint.

“We encourage young Filipinos to take up the cudgels in the fight against the effects of climate change and contribute tangible actions for the planet. These actions can be as simple as using a tabo when taking a bath or bringing your own tumbler or grocery bag,” added Asec. Paul Pangilinan, Chair of NYC’s Committee on Environment.

NYC continues to push for youth-driven climate actions through its environmental initiatives, recently, during last year’s (Not on Our Watch ASEAN) Conference; youth climate leaders from the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam called for the establishment of a Southeast Asian Youth in Climate Action Network (SAYCAN) and the declaration of November 25 of each year as the ASEAN Youth Day in Climate Action.

This year’s Earth Hour theme, , calls for a strengthened awareness on biodiversity and climate action. The main event will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines main grounds in Pasay City from 8:30 PM-9:30 PM on March 24, 2018.
