Before and after. It was only a short trial session but we were able to correct the position of the left hand. This should result to an increase in reach, faster finger movements and more stable intonation.

I am glad for being a part of this project. I was able to work with very talented young musicians as well as the some of the best teachers in the country today.

Is the kind of mastery we associate with “prodigies” actually available to every child, with the right encouragement? A new biography of Shinichi Suzuki, the creator of the popular method of music instruction, explores this question. Suzuki was convinced that children could learn music the way that children learn language—naturally, through ample exposure and repetition. Further, he believed that nurturing an affinity for music was the key to a broader revolution in human understanding. “If children all over the globe were sawing away at Vivaldi, they would not make war with each other when they grew up,” Adam Gopnik writes. Read more about the Suzuki method, which was rooted in its creator’s belief in human potential: http://nyer.cm/s1Rrrkm
