📌Kibenes Elementary School Joins Quarter 1 National Earthquake Drill
Kibenes Elementary School actively participated in the Quarter 1 National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), demonstrating its commitment to disaster preparedness and safety.
Teachers, staff, and learners performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure as the alarm sounded, followed by a safe and orderly evacuation to designated assembly areas. The drill was supervised by school officials and supported by barangay leaders, ensuring coordination between the school and the community.
School Head and teachers emphasized the importance of the activity, noting that earthquake drills strengthen awareness, instill discipline, and prepare learners for real-life emergencies. The event also aligned with the Department of Education’s directive to promote disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) in schools nationwide.
The successful conduct of the drill highlighted the school’s proactive role in fostering resilience and safety culture among its learners and stakeholders.
