𝐓𝐮𝐛𝐨𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 proudly presents the 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟎 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, an initiative and culminating program spearheaded by Sir Lhoyd Carredo as the final output of Grade 10 learners under the Revised English Curriculum 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟏𝟎 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥. Through this activity, learners apply their competencies in creating and presenting multimodal texts, using language, creativity, storytelling, and digital media to communicate ideas effectively for a specific audience and purpose.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬:

This year, 𝟏𝟑 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 will showcase the creativity and talents of our Grade 10 learners. Each film highlights a different aspect of Filipino culture, from traditions, family values, beliefs, relationships, community life, and everyday Filipino experiences. More than entertainment, these films serve as a reflection of who we are as Filipinos and how our culture continues to live through the stories of the younger generation.

Today, August 13, 2026, Tubod National High School was among the selected Gulayan sa Bayan at sa Paaralan Project (GSB) beneficiary sites monitored during the field visit and monitoring activity conducted by the Department of Agriculture–Regional Office XI (DA RFO XI) through the High Value Crops Development Program (DA-HVCDP), in coordination with the DA-HVCDP Central Office. The activity formed part of the agency’s continuing efforts to assess the implementation and progress of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program in the Davao Region.

The monitoring team visited the school garden to evaluate its current status, crop production, and management practices, as well as its contribution to food security and nutrition among learners. The activity was assisted by the school’s Gulayan sa Paaralan Coordinator, Ma’am Rhea L. Olasiman, together with the school principal, Ma’am Joy V. Luayon, who provided updates on the school garden initiatives and ongoing efforts to sustain the program.

Tubod National High School expressed its appreciation to the Department of Agriculture for the guidance and technical support provided during the monitoring activity. The visit served as an opportunity to strengthen the school’s commitment to maintaining a productive and sustainable school garden in support of the objectives of the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program.

The 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕-𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑺𝑷𝑻𝑨) of Tubod National High School successfully conducted its 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒚 at the Barangay Tubod Gymnasium, gathering parents, teachers, and school officials to discuss important matters for the betterment of the school and the welfare of the learners. Several significant concerns, programs, and plans for the school year were presented and deliberated during the assembly.

One of the highlights of the activity was the appreciation and recognition of the outgoing SPTA officers for School Year 2025–2026 for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the school community. The assembly also witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected set of SPTA officers headed by the re-elected SPTA President, Ma’am Myrna D. Amper, who pledged continued support and commitment to the development of Tubod NHS.

The First SPTA General Assembly also became a meaningful occasion for the formal introduction of the newly installed school principal, Ma’am Joy V. Luayon, to the parents and stakeholders. In her message, Ma’am Luayon expressed her readiness to implement positive changes and strengthen collaboration with parents and the community to further improve the school and provide quality education for all learners of Tubod National High School.

As one chapter closes with the departure of Sir Joseph Henry L. Tuna, Tubod National High School opens a new beginning with the arrival of 𝑴𝒂’𝒂𝒎 𝑱𝒐𝒚 𝑽. 𝑳𝒖𝒂𝒚𝒐𝒏 as the newly installed School Head. Her return to the school she once served as a dedicated teacher brings a sense of continuity, hope, and renewed purpose to the entire Tubod NHS community.

As she begins this new chapter of leadership, the Tubod NHS community looks forward to a future guided by compassion, wisdom, and excellence. With renewed hope and shared purpose, we celebrate her homecoming and embrace the promise of meaningful growth for our school and the community it serves.
