✨ A Blessed Day of Faith at Cogon East Elementary School ✨

Today, the Cogon East Elementary School family was truly honored and blessed to welcome the Patronal Visit of Señor San Agustin de Hippo, the beloved patron saint of the Municipality of Carmen. His visit served as a beautiful reminder of our shared faith, unity, and devotion as one community.

We also joyfully celebrated our first Monthly Mass, with our Kindergarten learners serving as this month's pilgrims and sponsors. Their active participation made this milestone even more meaningful, reflecting the importance of nurturing faith from an early age.

The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. William Alacalde, who shared the inspiring life and example of Señor San Agustin de Hippo. In his homily, he encouraged our learners to follow the saint's example by always choosing what is good and right, doing good to others, and living with faith, kindness, and integrity.

This meaningful celebration marks the beginning of our school's monthly Masses, an initiative that strengthens our spiritual formation and brings our school community closer to God.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Alinday, our Values Education Coordinator, for her dedication and leadership in making today's event a success. Thank you for spearheading the initiative of holding monthly Masses at our school, helping nurture the faith of our learners and the entire Cogon East Elementary School family.

May Señor San Agustin de Hippo continue to guide and inspire us as we grow in wisdom, faith, and service.

💙 A Heartfelt Farewell to Mrs. Regee Ann Neis 💙

Yesterday afternoon at 3:00 PM, the Cogon East Elementary School family gathered with hearts full of gratitude and mixed emotions as we held a send-off party for one of our dearest colleagues, Mrs. Regee Ann Neis.

Some goodbyes are especially difficult because they involve someone who has become more than just a coworker. Mrs. Neis has been an invaluable part of our school family—an inspiring educator, a dependable mentor, a compassionate friend, and a blessing to everyone who has had the privilege of working with her. Her unwavering dedication, humility, and genuine love for teaching have touched the lives of our learners, fellow teachers, and the entire school community.

While it saddens us to see her leave, our hearts are also filled with pride as we celebrate her well-deserved promotion as Master Teacher I and her transfer to Dawis Sur Elementary School. This new chapter is a testament to her hard work, excellence, and commitment to the teaching profession.

Mrs. Neis, your presence will be deeply missed. The impact you have made at Cogon East Elementary School cannot be measured by years alone but by the countless lives you have inspired and the legacy of kindness, dedication, and excellence you leave behind. You will always be a cherished member of the Cogon East ES Family, no matter where your journey takes you.

Thank you for every lesson taught, every helping hand extended, every encouraging word shared, and every smile that brightened our days. Though we wish you weren't leaving, we know you are meant for even greater things, and Dawis Sur Elementary School is truly gaining an exceptional educator.

We are honored and grateful to share that our school has been awarded Third Place as Outstanding Municipal GAD Program Implementer – Academe during the GADtimpala Awards, held as part of the 175th Founding Anniversary Celebration of the Municipality of Carmen at the Carmen Gym today, June 16, 2026.

With pride and patriotism, Cogon East Elementary School joined the 128th Independence Day Celebration held at the Carmen Municipal Grounds in front of the Municipal Hall. The event brought together various government and non-government agencies, community leaders, educators, and citizens in honoring the bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of our Filipino heroes.

As we commemorate this meaningful occasion, we encourage our learners to cherish the freedom we enjoy today and to remember that independence was earned through courage, unity, and love for our country.
