Carmen District Strengthens Academic Support for Student-Athletes Through ADM
Carmen, Davao del Norte — An Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) Station was established at Carmen National High School, serving as the billeting quarter for Carmen District athletes participating in the Davao del Norte Division Meet from February 2–6, 2026.
The ADM Station provides student-athletes with a conducive and flexible learning environment where they can accomplish academic activities, worksheets, or modules during their free time between scheduled games. Designed to be learner-centered and stress-free, the initiative allows students to study at their own pace, ensuring that academic responsibilities are sustained alongside athletic participation.
Learning remains a top priority for student-athletes striving for excellence in sports. While competitions allow learners to demonstrate physical skills and sportsmanship, academic achievement remains essential. Balancing training demands and classroom tasks develops time-management skills, discipline, and determination, helping learners perform well both academically and athletically.
School heads of the Carmen District, led by Mr. Bernardo F. Boyles, Public Schools District Supervisor, emphasized that the ADM Station promotes holistic learner development. Academic support is provided by the district ADM team headed by Joseph Henry L. Tuna, Mam Maricris B. Legarda and Mam Emalinda A. Terona, District ADM focal.Division ADM Evaluator, and Lynie S. Banhao, District ADM Coordinator, with the assistance of school ADM coordinators and coaches.
This initiative reflects the district’s commitment to accessible, inclusive, and balanced education.
