To our beloved fellow students, teachers, and the entire school community,

As we close this chapter of our journey as your SSLG officers, we do so with hearts full of gratitude, memories, and pride. Serving you this school year has been an honor beyond words—a journey of learning, growth, and unity.

Together, we’ve faced challenges, celebrated victories, and built a community rooted in respect, service, and purpose. Every project we’ve led, every voice we’ve heard, and every hand we’ve held in service has shaped who we are as leaders and as people.

To our mentors and teachers—thank you for your unwavering guidance. To our fellow students—thank you for trusting us to lead. And to our successors—may you lead with courage, compassion, and commitment.

Though our term ends, our dedication to this school and to each other will never fade. This may be goodbye as your officers, but never as your friend

With love and deep gratitude,
Your SSLG Officers, Signing Off

Surigao City Defeats Agusan del Norte in Girls’ Badminton Singles
-CHRISTIAN MITZ P. BAJAN

APRIL 01, 2025| Barangay Kinabjahan, Agusan del Norte

A highly competitive badminton match took place in Barangay Kinabjahan, Agusan del Norte, as 16-year-old Ashley Gail Pajo of Cahayagan National High School represented the province in the girls’ singles category. Despite her determined effort, Pajo fell short against a strong opponent from Surigao City, marking a tough loss for Agusan del Norte.

The match, which drew local spectators and sports enthusiasts, showcased the agility, skill, and endurance of both players. Pajo started strong, demonstrating excellent footwork and powerful smashes, but her opponent from Surigao City countered with precise shots and well-placed drop shots, ultimately taking control of the game.

Throughout the match, Pajo displayed resilience and fought for every point, refusing to back down against the aggressive play of her Surigao City counterpart. However, despite her impressive defense and strategic plays, she was unable to secure victory.

“I gave it my all, but my opponent played really well,” Pajo said after the match. “This experience motivates me to train harder and come back stronger in the next competitions.”

Coaches and spectators praised the sportsmanship and determination shown by both athletes. Pajo’s coach emphasized that the match was an important learning experience for the young player, who has been making strides in regional competitions.

“This is just the beginning for Ashley,” the coach said. “She has the talent and the drive to go further. We will work on her game and prepare for future tournaments.”

The event in Barangay Kinabjahan highlighted the growing popularity of badminton in the region and provided a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills. Organizers expressed their commitment to supporting youth development in sports, recognizing the importance of competitions like these in shaping the future of Philippine badminton.

Despite the loss, Pajo remains optimistic about her journey in the sport. With continued training and experience, she hopes to represent Agusan del Norte in future tournaments and bring home victories for her school and province.
