CONVERSION OF ST. AUGUSTINE || Today, we recall the powerful conversion of St. Augustine, a journey from a life of restlessness and worldly pursuits to a heart fully surrendered to God.

Through the prayers of his mother, St. Monica, and the grace of God, Augustine encountered the truth he had long been seeking. In a moment of deep interior struggle, he heard the call “tolle lege”- “take and read”, which led him to Sacred Scripture and ultimately to his transformation in Christ.

His story reminds us that no one is beyond God’s mercy, and that every searching heart can find rest in Him. As St. Augustine himself wrote: “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You.”

May his conversion inspire us to turn back to God, to seek truth with sincerity, and to trust in His grace that continually renews and transforms our lives.

St. Augustine, pray for us.

PRAYER VIGIL FOR PEACE || In response to the call of the Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, and the Archbishop of Cebu, Alberto Sy Uy, we will be holding a Prayer Vigil for Peace tonight at 8:00 PM.

The Holy Father has called upon all of us, during his Urbi et Orbi message, to pray and actively work for peace. In a world wounded by conflict, violence, and division, we are invited to stand together as one community of faith, lifting our hearts to God, the source of true and lasting peace.

Let us not leave Pope Leo alone in opposing this war. Let us unite our prayers so that violence may come to an end, that hearts hardened by hatred may be softened, and that leaders and decision-makers may be touched by God’s grace and guided toward justice, dialogue, and reconciliation.

May this vigil be a powerful moment of hope, where we entrust to the Lord our longing for peace, not only in nations at war, but also in our homes, our communities, and within our own hearts.

Come, let us pray together for peace.

PROJECT 12 SUMMIT | As one of the pilot schools in Cebu, Academia de San Agustin gratefully participated in the First Project 12 Summit 2026 with the theme “Developing a Resilient Generation.” Held on April 10-11, 2026, at USJ-R Quadricentennial Building.

The event brought together students, parents, educators and government leaders committed to growth, collaboration, and resilience.

Representing ASA were Ms. Erika Therese B. Cañoneo (Guidance Services Provider), Ms. Keisha Talitha M. Enriquez (Library Services Provider), and Mrs. Rosalina L. Barton (School Principal), along with student representatives from grades 7-11: Joseph Moses Villarin, Jundanz Edaño, Vhinz Wenly Corvera, Maria Xyra Suico, Andi Krizline Rustilla, and Khueen Kaela Malang, who actively engaged in the summit’s activities.

We thank the parents, personnel, and administrators for their support. Your encouragement helps shape students into resilient individuals. Special thanks to Dr. Joshua and Dr. Caroline Pilapil for this blessing and providential endeavor.

Key takeaway:
In a world where many are silently struggling, The Human Project Foundation with its Project 12, reminds us that sometimes the most powerful learning begins with understanding and caring for one another. This embodies the true essence of emotional intelligence; it shapes not only the intellect but also the character and heart of every learner. Let us continue to be a generation that leads with empathy, stands with resilience, and
serves with purpose.
