When the “Ang Tala Journalists” started to hold the pen of truth 3 years ago, it was the time we started to believe. We doubted not, for their eyes were sharp—pecking at the chance.

Journalism…

Crimson? Yes! Challenging? Yes! But once your passion is there, no force can even dare it, and our “Ang Tala Journalists” have truly embodied such.

They emerged not because they were called to, but because they were compelled. They were willed to cover pressing issues, disheartening catastrophes, shattering news, and even worth-celebrating glory, that could likely bring someone to awakening, inspiration and positivity.

Who would have thought…? Such ambitious right? Taga-pulo, why…? But denying the undeniable potentials of these young minds is like killing their drive and potential to thrive. As a matter of fact, distance is just a word, and nothing can outshine greatness.

Anyway, to ink the truth and etching their talents are what they exercised for, and, they are still working out for it, for keeping an eagle eye shall not stop from cover after cover.

Taraaaaaan! Here now, we proudly recognized these former “Ang Tala Journalists” and will forever be part of the “Ang Tala Family”, for gliding towards victory in the Presscons they joined.

Congratulations to our Ang Tala journalists who have been recognized as promising writers at the Campus Journalism Cluster Training held at Alejo Posadas Memorial Elementary School (APMES).

BERT charts hazard, vulnerable areas at BES Campus

To engage learners in identifying the hazards within the school premises, and enhance awareness of disaster risk, a hazard mapping and vulnerability identification was held, today.

A short orientation was initially done before the pinpointing of the hazards in the entire school vicinity conducted by Mrs. Ariane Aniban, and Ms. Marie Thel Del S. Trogo, advisers, putting emphasis on the crucial aspects of the event, including also the observation of safety precautions while conducting such.

This activity also aims to encourage active participation in creating a safe, child-friendly, and disaster-resilient learning environment.✨

National Coaches scout young talents at BES

To determine the 26 formidable young athletes to represent the Municipality of Carles in the upcoming 5th Congressional District Sports Association (CDSA) in September, a conscientious Screening and Talent Identification in Athletics was conducted today.

Present at the screening were the national coaches and trainers of the said municipality who backed up the powerhouse name of the Municipality of Carles in the field of Athletics—Mr. Rene T. Solis, Mr. Anecito B. Feranco Jr., Mr. Benedicto C. Prasas, Mrs. Leonie A. Tiosayco, and Mr. Rex E. Robles.

“We wanted to encourage you to be part of the screening.” Mr. Feranco said.

Mrs. Tiosayco further added that being an athlete will open you to many doors of opportunity.

The said screening involved the different events, including shot put, javelin, high jump, and a 200-meter dash.

“We just wanted to show you the accumulated golds our athletes bagged during the Palarong Pambansa held in Agusan Del Sur.” Mr. Solis, Mr. Prasas, and Mr. Robles proclaimed.

In the end, 12 potential athletes from Bito-on were eyed and will continue to undergo the screening process.✨
