The Wi-Fi installation in the Carigara NHS's Teen Center is a project initiated by the Peer Educators, aiming to provide a reliable and fast internet connection for the teens. This initiative is designed to support the educational and personal development needs of the teens, providing them with access to online resources and educational materials.

The Wi-Fi connection is exclusive to the computer and TV within the Teen Center, ensuring the secure and controlled online environment. The network is protected with a password and content filtering, allowing teens to access online resources safely. This setup enable the teens to utilize the internet for various activities, including online research and studying, educational programs and tutorials on TV, and computer-based projects and activities.

The permitted uses of the Wi-Fi are designed to support the academic and personal development of the teens. The Peer Educators have ensured that the Wi-Fi connection is used for productive purposes, such as online learning platforms and resources, and educational programs. This initiative has enhanced learning and research opportunities, supporting the academic and personal development of the teens.

Overall, the Wi-Fi installation in the Teen Center is a valuable resources for the teens in the school. It provides them with access to online resources and educational materials, fostering digital literacy and online safety skills. The initiative by the Peer Educators has created a conducive learning environment, enabling the teens to utilize the internet for their educational and personal development needs.

𝗜’𝗺 𝗝𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗬𝘃𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗗. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻, 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟵 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲:

"Being a Peer Educator has transformed me in many ways, as I’ve become more thoughtful and responsible, always considering what’s right and best for me. I’ve also learned the value of surrounding myself with positive influences and avoiding friends who might lead me astray. This role has made me more aware of what truly contributes to our well-being, teaching me about growing up, puberty, and decision-making—empowering me to make positive choices. My experience also helped me overcome my shyness and build confidence in public speaking, giving me the ability to communicate effectively and express my thoughts clearly, especially during campaigns. One of the most impactful lessons I’ve learned was about teenage pregnancy and the importance of making good choices, because by being responsible, we can avoid the risks and consequences that may affect our future. Being a Peer Educator is both enjoyable and meaningful, as you’ll gain knowledge about adolescence, puberty, and decision-making—lessons that will guide you in making the right choices and navigating life with confidence.

𝗜’𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗹 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗵 𝗗. 𝗡𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘀, 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟭 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲:

"There are a lot of things that have changed within me ever since I became a Peer Educator. My confidence has grown higher than before, my public speaking skills have improved over time, and I’ve learned to manage my time well since punctuality is important in this role. One unforgettable moment was during a school campaign when our team prepared a PowerPoint presentation, but the classroom had no television and we didn’t even have manila paper as a backup. Despite the challenge, we managed to discuss the topic from memory and wrote key points on the blackboard. In the end, the campaign was still a success—and that moment taught me to always be resourceful and prepared. Being a Peer Educator has also helped me become more knowledgeable about the topics we share and more prepared for every campaign. The most memorable lesson I’ve learned from the training is to wait for the right time—because everything will fall into place when it’s meant to be. If it is truly for you, God will make it happen. My advice for those who plan to become Peer Educators is to prepare yourself for the responsibilities and be ready to commit, because this role truly matters as it helps fellow students gain knowledge about important topics that are rarely discussed.

𝗜’𝗺 𝗞𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗠. 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘇𝗮, 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟬 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜’𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲:

"Since becoming a Peer Educator, my perspective toward other young adolescents has completely changed. I now see things differently and have grown more confident and wiser in making decisions, allowing me to become a better version of myself. Being a Peer Educator in school has been both challenging and rewarding, as it feels fulfilling to help others, even in small ways, while also learning to balance my academics with this role. Through this journey, I have gained the confidence to share accurate information, the patience to show kindness during school campaigns, and the wisdom to appreciate the people I love and those around me. I’ve realized that even though the world can sometimes be harsh, kindness makes it easier to endure, and cherishing my loved ones ensures I will have no regrets if one day they are gone. Above all, I carry with me this important reminder: we all have our own battles to fight, but the key is to never give up—because even what seems impossible can become possible when you work hard and believe in yourself."
