Creating Safe Learning Environments: A Symposium on Safe Spaces, Sexual Harassment Prevention, Violence Prevention, and School Safety

Our school successfully conducted the symposium "Creating Safe Learning Environments: A Symposium on Safe Spaces, Sexual Harassment Prevention, Violence Prevention, and School Safety," last July 3, 2026 at Catalino D. Salazar National High School (Campus B) with the goal of promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all learners.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished resource speakers for sharing their expertise and valuable insights:

🔹️ PEMS Melody Villanueva for her informative discussion on Safe Spaces;
🔹 PMSg Karen Grace Buhulon for her meaningful presentation on Sexual Harassment Prevention; and
🔹 PSSg Mario Generoso Bawagan for his engaging discussion on Violence Prevention.

Their inspiring talks equipped our learners with essential knowledge on respecting one another, recognizing inappropriate behaviors, preventing violence, and helping create a safer and more supportive school community.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our School Principal Dr. Romnick B. Dolore, for the unwavering support and leadership that made this activity possible. We also thank our dedicated teachers and the GFPS for their commitment in organizing and facilitating the symposium, ensuring its success.

Finally, we commend all the students and participants for their active participation, attentiveness, and enthusiasm throughout the event. May the lessons learned inspire everyone to uphold respect, responsibility, and kindness in creating a safe learning environment for all.

In celebration of Women’s Month, we honored the heart and soul of our school—our teachers—during the “NURTURING THE NURTURERS: TEACHERS WELLNESS DAY. This special day recognized the dedication, passion, and resilience of our educators, many of whom are inspiring women shaping the minds and hearts of our students every day.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our school Head Dr. Romnick B. Dolores for championing this event and to our generous sponsors, Municipality Of Cardona (from our Mayor, Vice Mayor and Councilors), Municipal Planning and Development Office, Peso, SB of Subay, Ms. Dym Julian, whose support made it possible to give our teachers a well-deserved day of pampering and appreciation.
