Following the announcement of the City Government of Carcar, face-to-face classes at ALL LEVELS in all PUBLIC and PRIVATE schools, including Carcar City College (CCC), will remain suspended tomorrow, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, due to the โ€œvery unhealthyโ€ air quality affecting Metro Cebu, based on monitoring by the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB).

All schools shall shift to Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) of Learning to ensure the continuity of learning while prioritizing the health and safety of learners and school personnel.

Teaching and non-teaching personnel assigned to public schools in Carcar City shall likewise not be required to report to their respective school assignments tomorrow.

Everyone is advised to stay indoors as much as possible, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, and wear a mask when going outside is necessary.

The LGU stated that air quality has reached an โ€œacutely unhealthyโ€ level based on monitoring by the DENR-EMB 7. Learners, teachers, and school personnel are advised to limit outdoor exposure and take the necessary precautions for their health and safety.
