City governments across the country joined the Department of Education (DepEd) and the administration of Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in a collective effort to accelerate the construction of classrooms.

This followed the signing of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) on Monday by city mayors from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with DepEd at Malacañan Palace.
