For many years, San Pedro Integrated School held only one official document—the Deed of Transfer from the Municipality of Caraga in 1992. After months of perseverance, countless visits to government offices, and the careful preparation and submission of requirements, the long-awaited dream of securing a land title has finally been fulfilled. This milestone marks the end of a 34-year journey and the beginning of a new chapter for the school.

The entire SPIS community rejoices as 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙙𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨 𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙞𝙩𝙡𝙚. This achievement was made possible through the steadfast leadership of the Principal Mr. Jame Boy Bangke, whose dedication and determination inspired everyone to believe in the vision. With hearts full of gratitude, the teachers, parents, and stakeholders celebrate this success, 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚.

𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞: 𝐀 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲

San Pedro Integrated School held a successful groundbreaking ceremony for its much-awaited stage on March 26, 2026.

The event was graced by Barangay Officials led by Punong Barangay Edelberto M. Calig-onan, together with Kagawads Hon. Jenasque B. Landasan and Hon. Rogelio D. Malintad; Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Hon. Junipher T. Tomanggong; PTA President Mr. Isaac M. Mariano; School Principal Mr. Jame Boy B. Bangke; the entire teaching force of SPIS; and the students. Heartfelt messages from stakeholders expressed joy and gratitude, as 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲—𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The initiative of the Principal Jame Boy Bangke, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘆, and the support of the community made this project possible. Special thanks are extended to Punong Barangay Edelberto M. Calig-onan and Hon. Rogelio D. Malintad for their financial contributions, as well as to the parents who donated construction materials such as 16 mm and 10 mm deformed steel bars.

Despite two major postponements due to a doublet earthquake and shearline weather, our resilient Girl Scouts from San Pedro Integrated School (SPIS) shone brightly at the 29th GSP Council-Wide Camp (Davao Oriental Council)! ⛺💚 Held last March 5-8, 2026, at Cateel Vocational High School, our delegates proved that true Girl Scouts are always prepared to face any challenge.

San Pedro Integrated School marked the opening of the National Women’s Month Celebration today with a dignified show of solidarity, as teachers and staff came together in their shades of purple polo shirts and dresses to symbolize unity and empowerment. This simple yet powerful gesture reflected the school’s commitment to honoring women’s invaluable contributions in education and society, while reinforcing the call for equality and respect. With every participant proudly wearing purple, the community radiated strength and purpose, setting the tone for a month dedicated to celebrating women’s resilience, leadership, and enduring impact.

With the guidance of their advisers, Mrs. Hapie Mae Q. Egoy (SELG Adviser) and Mrs. Silat Andoyo (SSLG Adviser), the officers pledged their commitment to uphold the values of responsibility, service, and teamwork. 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦: 𝐒𝐋𝐌𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

When nature intervenes, education finds a way to adapt. On February 19, 2026, the Municipality of Caraga, Davao Oriental issued Executive Order No. 15, Series of 2026, suspending classes at all levels due to the heavy rains brought by the Northeast Monsoon, locally known as Amihan. For two days, February 19–20, face-to-face learning was halted to ensure the safety of learners and school personnel.

Yet, for the students of San Pedro Integrated School, education did not stop. Through DepEd’s Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM), learning continued seamlessly at home with the use of Self-Learning Modules (SLMs). These modules served as the lifeline of instruction, guiding pupils from Kindergarten to Grade 10 in completing their lessons independently while supported by their parents and guardians. The ADM approach highlighted flexibility and inclusivity, ensuring that learning remained uninterrupted despite the storm.

The photographs capture the resilience of learners diligently reading, writing, and completing activities in their modules. Each task reinforced values of independence, responsibility, and perseverance, while also showcasing the vital role of families in sustaining education during emergencies. ADM through SLMs embodies DepEd’s commitment to “Education for All”—proving that while storms may close classrooms, they cannot stop the spirit of learning.
