The program encourages students to actively participate in responding to community needs while fostering empathy, cooperation, and civic awareness. Thus, ASLAG reflects important principles of Catholic Social Teaching such as Compassion for Humanity and Human Dignity by recognizing the worth of every individual, especially members of marginalized communities. It also embodies Solidarity through the collaboration between students and the Aeta community, while promoting the Common Good through initiatives that aim to improve community welfare. Since ASLAG has continued for three years, it shows that service becomes more meaningful when sustained and rooted in both social responsibility and compassion.

GRADE 11 PARENTS AND GUARDIANS ATTEND SHSVP ORIENTATION

CAPAS, Tarlac - The DCT Registrar’s Office conducted an orientation about the SHS Voucher Program (SHSVP) to Grade 11 Parents and Guardians last July 22, 2026 at the Bp. J. J. Sison Covered Court.

The orientation, facilitated by Mr. Ianthe Laurence C. Gomez, the ESC/SHSVP Coordinator, mainly focused on the Voucher Program for SHS especially on: DepEd Memo No. 11 series of 2026 (Revised Guidelines on the Implementation of Expanded Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education (E-GASTPE) in the Department of Education); Requirements; and, Grounds for Application, Approval, and Termination.

The SHSVP is a financial subsidy of the government to support parents/guardians sending their children to private school institutions through the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC).

In solemn thanksgiving and prayer for guidance, the Dominican College of Tarlac Community will be formally opening the School Year 2026–2027 with the Mass of the Holy Spirit on June 15, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., to be held at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Shrine. The Eucharistic celebration will be presided over by Most Rev. Roberto C. Mallari, D.D., DCT President and Bishop of Tarlac, as the community entrusts the new academic year to the grace and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
