DoH, TPH closely monitor 6 PUIs
A total of six persons are now under investigation (PUI) as they have shown symptoms of the dreaded Novel Coronavirus (nCoV).
Of the six, five are currently confined at the Jecsons medical center while the other one is confined in an undisclosed hospital in Tarlac province. The five confined at jecsons are foreigners who came to Tarlac last january 25 after arriving from Macau.
According to the provincial health office, the swab samples were already been brought this afternoon (February 2) to the DoH for testing and result is expected within 24 to 48 hours.
Provincial information officer Arvin Cabalu said that people should not panic and instead wait for the result of the test.
"We will immediately release whatever result will come out," Cabalu said adding that at the moment, the province still has no case of nCoV.
He also urged people not to believe in social media post as it just adds to the confusion and panic.
"We have to believe only those in authority. If there is nCoV in Tarlac, the provincial government, the TPH and the DoH will announce it," Cabalu said.
