ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 19

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac

📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro
📍 Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Due to continuous heavy monsoon rains, in-person classes at all levels in public and private schools are suspended for August 18, 2026, and will shift to alternative learning modes.

Please remain safely at home, standby for specific remote learning instructions from your teachers, and monitor official channels for further updates.

Sa Memorandum Circular No. 128 na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, ipinag-utos ng Malacanang ang pagsasagawa ng Work-from-Home (WFH) sa mga tanggapan ng gobyerno at alternative learning modes sa lahat ng pampubliko at pribadong eskwelahan bukas, Agosto 18, bilang paghahanda sa inaasahang patuloy na pagbuhos ng malakas na ulan dulot ng habagat.

Alinsunod sa rekomendasyon ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), ipatutupad ang WFH at suspension ng face-to-face classes sa mga sumusunod na lugar:

Hindi sakop ng WFH ang mga ahensya ng pamahalaang may kinalaman sa pag-deliver ng basic at health services, preparasyon at pagtugon sa sakuna at kalamidad.

Ipinauubaya naman ng Malacanang sa mga Local Chief Executives ang kapangyarihang mag-pasiya kung kinakailangang suspendihin ang pasok sa mga lugar na kanilang nasasakupan na hindi napabilang sa memorandum circular.

Nasa diskresyon naman ng pamunuan ng pribadong sektor ang pagdeklara ng suspensyon sa trabaho.

Angelina D. Jimenez Elementary School engaged in a Technical Assistance session on the implementation of its School Governance Council (SGC) activities today.

​Serving as the technical assistance provider, Dr. Cesar Ian D. Salac, Principal I of Sta. Rosa National High School, shared his expertise to help the school organize its activity records, progress reports, and strategic plans in line with national standards and school goals.

​The session focused on helping teachers, parents, and council members streamline their documentation, improve tracking systems, and boost community participation in school projects. Proper guidance on these activities ensures that all SGC programs are well-planned, properly documented, and continuously improved for the benefit of the learners.

​The activity highlighted the strong collaboration among school leaders, teachers, parents, and community partners. Through this valuable guidance, Angelina D. Jimenez Elementary School continues its commitment to good leadership and quality education.
