DUMAGUETE CITY — Teachers from Passionate Quest Institute of Learning Incorporated, or Pasquil Inc., joined more than 100 educators across the Negros Island Region and Siquijor in a one-day seminar on “Navigating the Revised K-10 Curriculum” held at Saint Paul University Dumaguete on June 6, 2026.
Accompanied by the school president, the Pasquil Inc. delegation took part in the training initiated by the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines, or CEAP, in partnership with the Religious Educators Association of the Philippines, or REAP and REX Education.
A highlight of the seminar was the discussion on the “Instructional Design Framework” for the revised curriculum. Resource speakers emphasized frameworks designed to help teachers structure effective, learner-centered instruction.
Teachers were introduced to the 4 I’s of Instruction: Inclusive, Ideational, Integrative, and Innovative; the 4 C’s: Contextual, Collaborative, Connected, and Creative; and the 4 E’s: Engage, Experiment, Explore, and Empathize. The framework also underscored the 3 R’s: Responsive, Relevant, and Reflective instruction.
The seminar further covered pedagogies aligned with the Revised K-10 Curriculum, including a detailed lecture on the “5 Steps in Unpacking” learning competencies and updates on assessment practices under the new curriculum.
Pasquil Inc. officials said the training will equip their teachers from Pre-Elementary to Grade 6 to implement the revised curriculum more effectively when classes open for School Year 2026-2027
