JUST IN: SIGMA PARTY DOMINATES SELG ELECTION

The Students Igniting Growth Mutual Respect and Anti -Bullying or simply known as SIGMA Party dominated the Supreme Elementary Learner Government election held earlier today,Feb. 27 at Candoni Central Elementary School.

SIGMA Party List achieved a landslide victory over SLAY Party List in major positions sparked by Erwaughnn Clyde DeLa Rosa as president with 316 votes.

De La Rosa is from Sum-ag Elementary School and moved in to Candoni Central Elementary School during the opening of classes last July 2024.

"I feel happy to be trusted and voted as SELG President for the next school year " ,expressed De La Rosa.

"I may be new to our school as a Grade 5 transferee learner but one thing I can assure, is my desire to help, cooperate and encourage fellow learners to be involved with every school activities" ,he added.

Moreover,Rosalia Pingcas -Castro SELG adviser , encouraged the members of each group to continue embracing their roles as leaders and active citizens emphasizing the impact they can have to the school and community.

SOARING HIGH IN JOURNALISM:

NEWBIE WRITER SNATCHES 7th PLACE

A beginner snatched seventh place in News Writing Elementary, English in the recently concluded Division Schools Press Conference held Feb. 13 at Hinigaran National High School .

Princess Ariah Jalbona,a grade six pupil of Candoni Central Elementary School .

"Jalbona was a replacement for the news category when the original contestants shifted to Photojournalism ",said coach April Retarino .

"But definitely she made us proud for winning as 7th placer in the competition",Retarino added.

"Jalbona is the fourth win of the publication in news writing and this year among 36 competing schools both public and private ,Rica Dajay ,4th place out of 62 writers in 2017,8th place 2018, and Yrral Marie Diaz 1st place in 2024 ,I am so proud of what we have achieved so far in this category ",Retarino concluded.

Retarino also complimented on the bravery and confidence of the other participants in both English and Filipino category.

For her ,more than any medal or certificate is the experience and learning gained .

Bringing Home the Beacon :

School Triumphs with 1st Place Win in Best Online Publication

Candoni Central Elementary School triumphed with First Place win in the Best Online Publication during the 2025 Division Schools Press Conference ,Group Category , held Feb. 21 at Hinigaran National High School .

"We consider this as our huge achievement for 'The Central" ,commented April Grace Retarino, adviser .

"This is the prize of our great endeavor ",she added.

The online newsletter was part of the policy in the press conference, 'No Online Publication ,No Entry'.

There were 36 elementary schools who joined the competition based on the online registration.

This year's theme, " The Role of Campus Journalism in Creating Champions Amidst Challenges and Triumphs in the 21st Century revealed the hard work and resilience of the journalists and the advisers.

The team plans to join in radio script writing and broadcasting and other categories of the press conference by next year.

Central Philippines State University -Candoni Campus deployed its pre-service teachers started Monday,Jan. 20.

There were 13 intern students assigned and were required to report daily .

The purpose of the program is to enhance the teaching skills and knowledge of the interns.

The said initiative supports the mission of the state university to develop competent professional and globally competitive educators ready to excel in a dynamic and interconnected world.

The program will last for 45 working days and is expected to end on April 4 .

The pre-service teachers are to handle classes with the guidance of the respective cooperating teachers.

News Update:
7 Centralian grads emerged top scorers in TOSCAN compre exam |January 8

Seven graduates of Candoni Central Elementary School made it to top16 qualifiers of the Ten Most Outstanding Student of Candoni.

The 2020 batch of Centralians has undergone the comprehensive examination held earlier today at ' Central Philippines State University-Candoni Campus.

Among the top 16 passers of the assessment made were Jannelle Arevalo,Clea Danna Malunes ,Precious Sarah Locton , Princess Clianne Saril , Julia Louise Tornea , Sophia Reign Jainga , and Glen Allen Trunio.

The achievers were also former campus journalists of the school.

The top 16 qualifiers are required to submit their bid book on Jan. 13 and to wait for the preliminary interview on set schedule to be announced soon.

The said bid book includes Personal Data Sheet ,School Form 9 and the Means of Verification for their awards and certificates .

The principal of Candoni Central Elementary School acknowledged the presence of pupils during the flag ceremony on its first day resumption of classes in the district of Candoni.

The resumption was moved to January 3 due to the District Professional Meeting held January 2.

Roger Baladhay ,newly promoted as principal 2 emphasized on the value of studying .

He also shared his experiences during his school years. He never wanted to be absent from his classes ,remembering his elementary and high school days.

"When there are several learners,conduct regularly classes",Baladhay suggested.

"Concentrate on literacy and numeracy when only few are present ",he added.

He also hoped that the pupils have mastered the skills they needed on their current level for them to be ready for the next grade level.

Baladhay further announced the coming activities like scouting this January , and the approaching town patronal fiesta on the first week of February this 2025.
