𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | 𝙁𝙀𝘼 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙒𝙚𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 '𝟮𝟲

The Future Educators' Association (FEA) conducted an international webinar on global perspectives on teacher education, professional identity, and pedagogical transformation with the theme "Teachers at the Crossroads: Reimagining the Future of Teaching in an AI-Driven and Human-Centered World,” held via Zoom on Saturday, October 3.

In partnership with the International Society of Teachers, Administrators, and Researchers (ISTAR); and with the guidance and support of Rommel V. Tabula, Officer-in-Charge Dean of the College of Teacher Education, the webinar, which was open for all teachers and future educators, highlighted morning and afternoon sessions.

“The [best] teachers in the age of AI [are] not the one[s] who use the most tools, but the one[s] who sip the most meaning," Sigit Ricahyono from Universitas PGRI Madiun, Indonesia, said.

In the morning session, Ricahyono discussed "The Competent Teacher: AI Literacy and the Transformation of Teacher Education," wherein he encouraged teachers to embrace AI literacy as it provides a deeper understanding of students' needs.

Meanwhile, Ghulam Ali Buriro of the University of Sindh Jamshoro, Pakistan, tackled "The Human Teacher: Humanity, Ethics, and Teacher Identity in the Age of AI." He stressed that the "human teacher is the pivot who will continue to be the cornerstone of education," and that the main purpose of AI is to serve as an assistant—not dominate the human capacity to empower learners.

Moreover, underscoring "The Resilient Teacher: Inclusion, Professional Growth, and Teacher Resilience," Christian Gandeza of Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) explained that instead of asking "how do we make teachers more resilient?" we should generalize the question into "what does it take for a teacher to keep showing up with energy, compassion, curiosity, and purpose?"

In the afternoon session, Regime Penaso Cubero from Santa Laurencia School, Indonesia, lectured on "Teaching Beyond Borders: Stories, Challenges, and Triumphs of Filipino Educators in Global Classrooms." He noted that the more technology advances, teaching must become more human, urging teachers to be taught why, when, and when not to use it.

The last discussion focused on "Teaching Beyond Borders: Stories, Challenges, and Triumphs of Filipino Educators in Global Classrooms." Marc Fernando Paloma Escobar from the Korean International School in Hanoi, Vietnam, emphasized that taking risks and constantly embracing improvement leads to development and growth, reminding that teaching is a journey of becoming rather than perfection.

“You don't have to be an extraordinary teacher on day one. You simply need to be willing to become better on day two,” Escobar remarked.

Furthermore, the webinar served as a tool that gives future educators wisdom and virtue in embracing the era of modernization. It played a vital role in the development of the students of CTE, where they can apply this knowledge in their future endeavors.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐎𝐖 | The webinar titled "International Webinar on Global Perspectives on Teacher Education, Professional Identity, and Pedagogical Transformation" of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) is currently underway, bringing together the CTE Faculty, students, and six international resource speakers.

The session highlights collaborative and meaningful discussions on "Teachers at the Crossroads: Reimagining the Future of Teaching in an AI Driven and Human Centered World."

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | The College of Teacher Education, through the initiative of the Future Educators' Association (FEA), is set to conduct its international webinar titled "International Webinar on Global Perspectives on Teacher Education, Professional Identity, and Pedagogical Transformation" via Zoom tomorrow, October 3, 2026, at 8 AM.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘-𝗧𝗢-𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗦𝗬𝗡𝗖𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Pursuant to Memorandum No. PMPO-09-468, s. 2026, classes at the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) shall shift from face-to-face to asynchronous modality on September 28, 2026 (Monday).

This is in accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 136, s. 2026, issued by the Office of the President, suspending work in government agencies and instrumentalities beginning at 1:00 PM on the same date in observance of the 34th National Family Week and “Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga” Day.

All students are advised to take note of the change in class modality and remain guided by the instructions of their respective instructors regarding learning activities, assignments, and other academic requirements.

The CTE Blue Falcons’ passion, determination, and camaraderie have borne fruit this Intramurals 2026. With every player’s hard work and dedication, CTE proudly ranked fourth in the overall medal tally.

Each medal is proof of the falcons’ commitment to giving their best. These have reminded us of what it truly means to soar together.

The banner of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) was unfurled victoriously as CTE representatives dominated the Search for Mister and Miss Ilocos Sur Polythecnic State College (ISPSC) Main Campus 2026, which was held at the gymnasium on September 25 to conclude the 3-day 2026 Intramurals.

Hailed as the Ms. ISPSC Main Campus 2026, she was Chelsea Sambrano, a first-year Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) student. "Beyond winning games and winning the title, I want each and every one of you to carry the value of unity... to [make our] experience[s] more impactful, because we are one ISPSCiano—we win as one, we rise as one," the legacy that Sambrano advocated.

Meanwhile, Kaye Anne Rigor, a second-year Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education (BCAEd) student, was crowned in grace as Ms. Sports and Wellness 2026. She believed that winning the title comes with a purpose, and for her, aspiring to become an educator who creates a better society through education is the legacy she wanted to be remembered for.

Moreover, after qualifying in the top five male finalists, Jhustin Alfiros, a second-year BPEd student, finished as Mr. Environment 2026.

In addition to the crowns, Sambrano, Rigor, and Alfiros also bagged the following awards:

Meanwhile, Jeffrey Cariño, another candidate of CTE earned the Best in Production award for the standout production number.

With the guidance of April Villalobos, Imari Soriano, and Mark Krysler Lilan, and the unwavering support of the people who believed in them, the three delivered stellar performances on stage that earned them titles and awards.

Hence, the spotlight remains on the College of Teacher Education, highlighting not only the intelligence but also the diverse individual strengths that make each Blue Falcon authentic, compelling, and exceptional. Furthermore, Sambrano will represent the Main Campus in the Search for Mr. and Ms. ISPSC 2026 in the upcoming Intercampus.

𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | 𝘾𝙏𝙀 𝙋𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙨 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣

Students from the College of Teacher Education (CTE) joined the recently concluded dancesports competition as part of the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Main Campus Intramurals 2026, held at the college gymnasium on September 23.

In the Latin American category, Mervin John Ganabo, a fourth-year Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education (BCAEd) student, and Cyra Jhay Galangco, a first-year BCAEd student, earned first place in Cha-Cha and Rumba, while placing second in Jive.

In the Rumba category, CJ Abliter, a first-year BCAEd student, and John Michael Habon, a third-year Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) student, placed first in Rumba and second in Jive and Cha-Cha.

Meanwhile, Louis Andrei Escalona, a second-year Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) student, and Jennyliza Gannapao, a first-year BSEd student, placed third in Slow Waltz, Tango, and Quickstep under the Modern Standard category.

Furthermore, Habon, who qualified in the Third-Kind Male category, and Galangco, who qualified in Latin American Female category, will represent the ISPSC Main Campus in the upcoming system-wide intercampus competition.
