๐—”๐——๐—ฉ๐—œ๐—ฆ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—ฌ | The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College announces that the implementation of Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangements and asynchronous classes shall remain in effect on August 20, 2026, pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, s. 2026, issued by Malacaรฑang upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), due to continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

To ensure the continuity of essential services, a skeletal workforce shall be maintained in each unit or office. Concerned personnel are advised to report onsite as designated by their respective heads, while other employees shall continue their functions under the WFH arrangement.

The College has issued a corresponding Memorandum providing the specific guidelines and arrangements for the implementation of WFH, asynchronous classes, and the skeletal workforce.

Please be informed that pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, s. 2026, issued by the Malacaรฑang upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), classes tomorrow, August 20, 2026, shall be conducted through Asynchronous Modality due to continued heavy rainfall associated with enhanced Southwest Monsoon.

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), and in view of the Heavy Rainfall Warnings issued by PAGASA relative to the continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon, government offices in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna, and Occidental Mindoro are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on 18 August 2026.

Agencies delivering basic and health services, disaster preparedness/response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services. Alternative learning modes shall be implemented for classes at all levels in public and private schools in the aforementioned areas.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

The Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) Candon Campus, through the office of the Supreme Student Council, conducted its General Assembly, bringing together students for an important discussion on matters concerning the student body and the upcoming activities of the campus.

The assembly covered several important agendas, including the presentation of the financial statement from the previous semester, the presentation of the existing and revised Constitution and By-Laws, and the updates on the projects and activities of the Supreme Student Council.

Students were also informed about the upcoming Panagsapata 2026, Buwan ng Wika, and ASEAN Month Celebration.

The activity underscores the council' commitment to transparency and accountability, strengthening the connection between the council and the student body.
