The 𝐄𝐔𝐂 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 participated in the 1𝒔𝒕 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒂 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑺𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒕 held at the AEC Little Theater, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, Lucena City on February 27, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The summit was organized as part of the university’s 79th Founding Anniversary and aimed to encourage academic institutions, leaders, and practitioners in the CALABARZON region to promote sustainable development in schools and communities. It also focused on regional innovation and environmental advocacy.

The event featured keynote speaker 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝘼𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝙏. 𝙍𝙤𝙟𝙖𝙨, 𝙈𝙎𝙘, ABS-CBN Weather Anchor and Resident Meteorologist, who delivered the talk “From Forecast to Action: How Weather Information Empowers Communities to Build Resilience.”

With the theme “𝓔𝓶𝓹𝓸𝔀𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓒𝓸𝓶𝓶𝓾𝓷𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓮𝓼, 𝓘𝓷𝓼𝓹𝓲𝓻𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓷𝓰𝓮,” the summit emphasized the vital role of education and collaboration in building a more sustainable future.

Apatnapung taon na ang lumipas mula nang magbuklod ang sambayanang Pilipino upang bawiin ang kalayaang matagal nang ipinagkait sa ilalim ng Batas Militar. Sa mga lansangan ng EDSA, pinatunayan ng taumbayan na ang tapang at pagkakaisa ay kayang tumigil sa dahas, kasinungalingan, at pang-aabuso sa karapatang pantao.

Ngunit sa paglipas ng panahon, unti-unting kumukupas ang alaala ng mga sugat na iniwan ng kahapon. May mga tinig na pilit pinapatahimik, at may mga katotohanang sinusubukang baluktutin. Sa gitna nito, tungkulin nating panatilihing buhay ang gunita—sapagkat ang bayang nakakalimot ay mas madaling dayain.

Ang diwa ng 𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐀 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ay hindi lamang kwento sa aklat, ito ay paalala na ang katarungan ay ipinaglalaban, at ang kalayaan ay binabantayan. Hangga’t may mga mamamayang mulat at handang manindigan, hindi na muling mananaig ang dilim.

Sa paggunita ngayong Pebrero 25, patuloy nating alalahanin at isabuhay ang diwa ng EDSA: na ang tunay na kapangyarihan ay nagmumula sa taumbayan. 🎗️✊🏻
