The Junior High School Library invites all Junior High School students to join us in celebrating National Book Week 2026, with the theme “Basa, Salin, Daloy,” from October 19–23, 2026!

Get ready for a week filled with creativity, fun, learning, and exciting activities that celebrate the magic of reading! 🌈📚

🎨 MAIN ACTIVITY: BIG BOOK COVER MAKING CHALLENGE

Showcase your artistic talent and love for reading by transforming your favorite book or literary work into an original and meaningful book cover!

📌 Who Can Join? Junior High School Students
👥 Team Composition: 3–5 members per team
📅 Submission Deadline: October 19, 2026

Let us celebrate the 92nd National Book Week with the theme "BASA, SALIN, DALOY"

Calling all Senior High School Students!

Join the "BOOK TALK VIDEO CONTEST: FROM PAGES TO VOICES"

Have you read a book that you would love to recommend to others?

The Senior High School Library invites all Senior High School students to participate in our Book Talk Video Contest: From Pages to Voices, where you can share your thoughts, insights, and recommendations about a book from the Senior High School Library collection.

HOW TO JOIN:
1. Choose a book
*Borrow any appropriate book from the Senior High School Library

2. Read and Review
*Read the book and prepare a short book review discussing the title, author, content, personal insights and recommendation.

3. Create Your Video
*Record a 2-4 minute video presenting your book review creatively.

4. Submit Your Entry
*Submit your video through the link/QR code provided.

5. Win and Be Recognized!
*The top entries will be recognized as the 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, 4th Place and 5th Place.

Submission Guidelines:
1. The contestant shall submit the completed video through this link https://forms.gle/adV7HdB71YLscCpG8 or scan the QR Code provided

2. Contestant shall provide the following information:
*Participant's Name:
*Grade & Section:
*Title of the Book:
*Author

3. Contestants should follow this format when submitting their entries: SURNAME_FIRSTNAME_BOOKTITLE

4. Deadline of submission will be on October 19, 2026. Entries submitted after the deadline may not be accepted.

5. Judging of entries will be on October 20, 2026 at EMRC.

6. The Senior High School Library reserves the right to reject entries that do not comply with the contest guidelines.

7. Criteria for judging are as follows:
*Content and Understanding of the Book - 30%
*Organization and Clarity of Book Review - 20%
*Personal Insights and Critical Thinking - 20%
*Delivery and Communication Skills -15%
*Creativity and Presentation - 10%
*Technical Quality - 5%
TOTAL: - 100%

8. The prizes will be:
1st Prize - Cash Prize + Certificate of Recognition
2nd Prize - Cash Prize + Certificate of Recognition
3rd Prize - Cash Prize + Certificate of Recognition
4th Prize - Cash Prize + Certificate of Recognition
5th Prize - Cash Prize + Certificate of Recognition

9. Winning entries will be posted in the EUC HS Library official page during the National Book Week Celebration.

10. Participants and Winners are invited to attend the Awarding and Closing Ceremonies on October 23, 2026 at EMRC.

11. All non-winning participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Tara na’t sabay-sabay tayong makiisa sa taunang selebrasyong ito at ipagdiwang ang kahalagahan ng pagbabasa, pagsasalin, at patuloy na pagdaloy ng kaalaman.

At ito pa lang ang simula! 👀 Mas mag-iingay pa tayo, so stay tuned sa mga exciting activities, contests, at iba pang ganap na inihanda para sa ating lahat.

The Senior High School Library proudly looks back on the successful Pinoy Word Hunt Activity, held throughout August 2026.

The activity provided Senior High School students with a meaningful and interactive opportunity to discover Filipino words, enrich their vocabulary, and deepen their appreciation of the Filipino language. Through this simple yet engaging library initiative, students were encouraged to make learning more enjoyable while recognizing the significance of language as an essential part of our identity and cultural heritage.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all the Senior High School students who participated in the activity. Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and active involvement contributed to making Pinoy Word Hunt a memorable and meaningful celebration of Wikang Filipino.

More than an activity, Pinoy Word Hunt reflects the library’s continuing commitment to creating student-centered learning experiences that promote literacy, cultural awareness, participation, and lifelong learning.
