The exercise simulated a high-magnitude earthquake centered at MalSES with sirens signaling the start of the drill. Teachers and Learners immediately moved away from potential hazards and performed the โDuck, Cover, and Holdโ procedure until the simulated shaking ceased.
Following the exercise, Learners, Teachers, Parents proceeded to designated safe zones.
Mam Cynthia A.De Torres explained the importance of disaster preparedness and maintaining emergency response readiness. โPreparedness is our strongest defense against disasters. Through regular drills and continuous training, we ensure that our learners, teachers remain ready to respond effectively and safeguard lives when emergencies occur,โ she said.
