SUSPENSION OF IN-PERSON CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS (PUBLIC AND PRIVATE) AND SHIFT TO ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING MODALITY DUE TO SOUTHWEST MONSOON (HABAGAT)

Upon the recommendation of the MUNICIPAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COUNCIL (MDRRMC) and in view of the heavy rainfall brought by the continuing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), in-person classes are hereby SUSPENDED and transitioned to asynchronous learning on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, with the following directives:

Class Modality: In-person classes in all levels (Preschool to Tertiary/College) in both public and private educational institutions, as well as the Alternative Learning System (ALS), are hereby shifted to Asynchronous Learning / Alternative Delivery Modes.

Public School Personnel: Teaching and non-teaching personnel in public schools shall observe Alternative Work Arrangements (AWA), subject to existing Department of Education (DepEd) guidelines and coordination with their respective school heads.

Due to continuing severe weather brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), in-person classes in 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗦, 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲.

- 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: Check your respective online portals, learning management systems, or official class group chats for self-paced learning materials and announcements.

- 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 (𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀): In accordance with emergency safety protocols, personnel are not required to report on-site and shall transition to Alternative Work Arrangements (Work-from-Home / Distance Facilitation).

- 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀: Discretion is left to school administration regarding internal work arrangements for staff.

A spirit of collaboration and shared commitment to educational excellence was evident as the Schools Division Office of Quezon visited Atty. Celso M. Reyes Integrated National High School on August 6, 2026 for its Technical Assistance Provision and School Monitoring activity.

Leading the monitoring were Sir Jaime F. Zara, Jr., Education Program Supervisor in Mathematics, and Ma’am Carmen H. Macatugob, Education Program Supervisor in EPP/TLE, who worked alongside school administrators, teachers, and personnel in reviewing the school’s implementation of various programs and initiatives.

The activity included the validation of school documents, checking the Literacy and Numeracy Pre-Assessment, monitoring of the Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs), and assessment of the implementation of the ARAL Program, K to 10 Revised Curriculum, and the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum. More importantly, it provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, celebrate effective practices, and identify strategies that will further strengthen teaching, learning, and school management.

The school community, headed by Assistant School Principal II, Mr. Gilbert M. de Alday, expressed its heartfelt appreciation to the visiting supervisors for their guidance, professional expertise, and unwavering support in helping the school sustain quality education and institutional growth.

With every monitoring visit comes another opportunity to learn, improve, and move forward together. Through strong partnerships and a shared vision, ACMRINHS remains committed to nurturing empowered learners and creating a culture of excellence for every Batang Reyes Higher.
