Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 128, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 18, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Benguet
📍 Zambales
📍 Bataan
📍 Tarlac
📍 Pampanga
📍 Bulacan
📍 Cavite
📍 Batangas
📍 Rizal
📍 Laguna
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

In accordance with the directive of the Local Government Unit (LGU), face-to-face classes in ALL LEVELS are suspended today, and will switch to ONLINE CLASSES. August 17, 2026 (Monday).

With flooding now a recurring concern in Candaba and its neighboring towns, it is only right that we deepen environmental awareness within our classrooms, forming a generation of citizens equipped to make wise, informed decisions for a natural world that shapes their own lives in turn.

This is what SJS set into motion as School Year 2026-2027 opened, through its MAKABUKAS Curriculum. It hopes that students' own lived experience of the disasters affecting their community will move them to think of long-term solutions not just for themselves, but for the wider community as well.

Good day!

The Teachers’ Training and Parents’ Orientation on the WELA Mobile App and ESC Subsidy shall be postponed to a later date, in consideration of the situation of the target participants.

The learning modality for August 14 shall be determined by the School Management, in deference to the advisory of the LGU, and will be announced through a separate page post.

The School Management will also inform you soon of the final date and schedule of the postponed activities.
