TO ALL MS1 CADETS/CADETTES,

In deep reverence to our Blessed Mother, Nuestra SeΓ±ora de PeΓ±afrancia, all students of Mariners' Polytechnic Colleges Foundation – Canaman are enjoined and required to participate in the TRASLACION Foot Procession on September 11, 2026 (Friday).

This sacred journey marks the beginning of the PeΓ±afrancia Festivities, where thousands of devotees walk together as an act of love, sacrifice, and devotion to β€œIna.” As part of the Mariners' Community, let us unite in this solemn expression of faith, unity, and Bicolanos heritage.

Reminders:

Call time: 1100H at Speedway Gasoline Station, San Felipe (Please take an early lunch prior to assembly).

Attire: Complete Type-A Uniform (without Pershing cap).

The 318th Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit (NROTC) successfully conducted the 10th Training Day for MPCF Cadets/Cadettes, and the 8th Training Day for MPCI Naga at The Mariners’ Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) of Canaman JCJ Complex today, September 5, 2026.

The day started with traditional Morning Colors and followed by Morning Calisthenics to build discipline and endurance. Afterwards, The Midterm Exam for Military Science 1 (MS1) started, giving cadets the opportunity to test what they have learned so far about Military Justice, Basic Map Meading, Civil Military Operations (CMO), Combat Movement Tactics, and Basic Relieve and Rescue Operation (BRRO). Throughout the exam, everyone showed great focus, patience, and dedication. Following the exam, Captain Aniceto P. Medalla PN(GSC), Commandant of Naval Reserve Center Southern Luzon, introduced himself to the cadets/cadettes.

The activity was guided and led by FN1 Ranel M Hersaba PN; SN2 Ferdinand D Rodriguez PN; 2nd LT Bobby S Ezperanza PN(M)(Res), CPO Francis Robert S Delloro PN(Ret)(Res), and CPO Joebert C Cereno PN(Ret)(Res).

This activity showed every cadet's commitment to Duty, Knowledge, and Loyalty. It was another successful step forward in their journey to becoming responsible, well-trained, and patriotic students who are ready to serve the community.

The 8th Training Day will be conducted on September 5, 2026 (Saturday) at the MPCF JCJ Complex. All cadets/cadettes are directed to be present not later than 0700H.

Uniform and Grooming Requirements:
πŸ”ΉWear the Complete Fatigue Uniform.
πŸ”ΉNo accessories are permitted during training.
πŸ”Ή Bring one (1) extra white T-shirt.
πŸ”ΉObserve the prescribed military haircut and grooming standards:
Male: 3x4 Haircut
Female: Hair neatly secured in a bun

πŸ”Ή Wear a Black Garrison Belt with Hukbong Dagat Buckle.
πŸ”Ή Ensure that the uniform is properly tucked in at all times.

Midterm Examination
A Midterm Examination will be administered during the training period.

The 318th Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Unit successfully conducted its 9th Training Day for Military Science 1 (MS1) for MPCF Canaman and its 7th Training Day for MPCI Naga on 29 August 2026 at the Mariners’ Polytechnic Colleges Foundation (MPCF) Canaman JCJ Complex.

The activity was led by PO1 Fernando L. Losabio, PN; SN2 Ferdinand D. Rodriguez, PN; ASN Jenesa Russane A. Atun, PN; CPO Joebert C. Cereno, PN (Ret.) (Res); and CPO Francis Robert S. Delloro, PN (Ret.) (Res). The training focused on Introduction to Civil-Military Operations (CMO), Combat Movement Tactics, and Basic Relief and Rescue Operations. Through these activities, the cadets and cadettes gained valuable knowledige and practical skills while strengthening their discipline, teamwork, leadership, military bearing, and sense of responsibility.

Through continuous training and dedication, the 318th NROTC Unit remains committed to developing capable, disciplined, and service-oriented future reserve officers ready to serve the community and the nation.

The MPCF 318th NROTC Unit successfully conducted its 8th Military Science 1 (MS1) Training Day on August 22, 2026, at the MPCF JCJ Complex. The day brought together Drill Instructors, Training Staff, Advance Officers, and MS1 Cadets & Cadettes both MPCF Canaman and MPCI Naga.

Under the leadership of ENS Charlie F. Privado, PN, together with his staff and Drill Instructorsβ€”FN1 Ranel M. Hersaba, PN, CPO Francis Robert S Delloro, PN (Ret.) (Res), and 2LT Bobby S. Ezperanza, PN (M) (Res)β€”the Cadets and Cadettes of the NROTC Unit successfully participated in a lecture on Basic Map Reading and the Preliminary Examinations of MPCI Naga. Basic Map Reading sharpens the navigation skills needed for operational command, while these fundamental lessons and examinations help develop the knowledge, discipline, and leadership of our future officers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The MPCF 318th NROTC Unit successfully conducted its 7th Military Science 1 (MS1) Training Day on August 15, 2026, at the MPCF JCJ Complex. The day brought together Drill Instructors, Training Staff, Advance Officers, and MS1 Cadets and Cadettes from both MPCF Canaman and MPCI Naga

The training commenced with the traditional Morning Colors Ceremony, followed by a comprehensive lecture delivered by CP0 Jobert C. Cereno PN (Ret). The session aimed to deepen the cadets’ understanding of core military concepts, discipline, and practical leadership.

Following the lecture, training transitioned to the field as the MP Boys and WATC Girls Model Platoons continued their preparations for the upcoming 16th Military Parade this September 2026. Under strict supervision, the cadets honed their formations, drill commands, movement patterns, and overall military bearing, reinforcing both physical readiness and team cohesion.

Throughout the day, the cadets displayed strong dedication and active participation. The training day serves as a crucial milestone in the NROTC program, continually preparing these cadets and cadettes to become disciplined, capable, and responsible future citizen-soldiers.
