A proud moment for Tarlac Agricultural University! The University President; Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson and the entire TAU community celebrate the outstanding victory of TAU–Laboratory School Grade 11 student-athlete; John Zuriel Silverio, who secured the silver medal in the Sub-Junior U59 weight class at the 2026 Equipped Nationals on August 8 at Robinsons Malabon, Metro Manila.

Silverio posted a career-high 402.5-kg total, anchored by a 145-kg squat, 75-kg bench press, and 182.5-kg deadlift, placing second among strong competitors in his division. His latest achievement adds another milestone to his rising powerlifting career, following his gold-medal finish in the U53 Sub-Junior division at the 2025 Equipped Nationals and his silver-medal performance, highlighted by a national-record squat, at the 2026 Raw Nationals.

President Salunson takes pride in Silverio’s achievement, recognizing the young athlete’s discipline, perseverance, and determination as reflections of the university’s commitment to developing well-rounded, high-performing students.

The entire TAU community proudly congratulates John Zuriel for bringing another podium finish to the University and looks forward to his pursuit of qualification for the 2027 Raw Nationals and, ultimately, the international stage.

𝐓𝐀𝐔-𝐋𝐒 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐉𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐤 𝐈𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐯𝐞-𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡

Jedrek Ivan Leal, a swimmer from Tarlac Agricultural University–Laboratory School, brought home an impressive five-medal haul and immense honor for TAU-LS after competing in the Singapore Island Country Club’s Swimming Meet.

Leal captured gold in the 200m Freestyle Relay, silver in the 100m Butterfly and 200m Medley Relay, and bronze in the 100m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke. His outstanding performance serves as a proud achievement and an inspiration to fellow student-athletes as TAU-LS continues to make its mark in sports.

Leal’s dedication proved fruitful as his swimming talent shone brightly throughout the competition. This remarkable feat stands as clear proof of his elite capability in the pool.

🔔 NEW SCHOOL YEAR, NEW BEGINNINGS!

Tarlac Agricultural University-Laboratory School (TAU-LS) officially kicked off A.Y. 2026–2027 with an action-packed General Assembly and Homeroom Orientation! The day started at the LS Covered Court with a presentation of the faculty and staff by Principal Dr. Milani C. Petero, followed by essential briefings on guidance and discipline from Ms. Neptune A. Solar and Ms. Lea Credo. Energy levels soared as Mr. Cris Wendell Pinto introduced the new Student Council Officers and various student organizations pitched their exciting club campaigns; later, students wrapped up the day by connecting with their advisers during afternoon Homeroom Orientations. Congratulating the awardees during the Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) - Laboratory School (LS) recognition program, University President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson emphasizes that while their medals and honors reflect discipline, resilience, and integrity, true leadership is not about the recognition worn on their chests. Instead, he stresses that leadership is defined by how they serve, uplift others, and carry the values learned within the University into the wider world.

Dr. Salunson also highlights that the TAU-LS is not merely a training ground for future educators, but living proof of TAU’s commitment to educational excellence, a place where theory meets practice, and where cultivating intellect, values, and leadership happens alongside cultivating the land.
