Empowering the Youth: MSWDO Camiling Partners with Camiling School for Home Industries for Youth Development Session
In a continuous effort to guide and protect the youth of Camiling, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), in collaboration with the Camiling School for Home Industries led by School Principal Dr. Vanjo Vijiga, recently conducted an impactful educational session aimed at addressing critical modern issues faced by young citizens.
The event featured a diverse lineup of discussions tailored to youth empowerment and protection. The Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) President Kris Angeles took the stage to emphasize the importance of civic engagement, providing an insightful discussion on voter’s education to prepare the next generation of voters for responsible governance.
Expanding into the digital landscape, Peace Corps Volunteer Wallace shared key strategies on cybersecurity, equipping students with essential tools to safely navigate online spaces and guard against digital threats.
To round out the session, Mr. Sherwin Lozano delivered a vital talk on Republic Act 9344 (the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act), clarifying legal frameworks, rights, and responsibilities concerning young people today.
MSWDO Camiling extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Vijiga, the school faculty, and the student body for their active participation and commitment to fostering a well-informed, empowered community.
