DepEd releases DM 12, s. 2026 which announces the full implementation of the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum in school year 2026–2027. Schools are reminded of the following:
● All public and private SHSs are directed to implement the Strengthened SHS Curriculum for incoming Grade 11 learners starting SY 2026-2027.
● Grade 12 learners in SY 2026-2027 will continue to take the existing SHS curriculum.
● Pilot schools that implemented the Strengthened SHS Curriculum for Grade 11 in SY 2025-2026 shall continue the pilot for their Grade 12 learners and incoming Grade 11 learners in SY 2026-2027.

To support the implementation of the Strengthened SHS Curriculum, the PEAC will conduct two (2) more runs of the Training for School Administrators on the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum on March 30-31, 2026 and April 9-10, 2026. Interested participants can register at https://register.peac.org.ph/.
The upcoming 2026 INSET for SHS private school teachers will also cover all the core subjects and selected electives of the Strengthened Senior High School Curriculum. Further announcements will be posted on the PEAC page.

• 🕊️ It became one of the most famous peaceful revolutions in world history.
• 🏛️ Ferdinand Marcos Sr. fled the Philippines to Hawaii on February 25, 1986, ending his 20-year rule.

𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐀 | Sayaw ng Kultura at Pagkakaisa, Umingay sa Muling Pagbubukas ng Festival Dance Competition
Bago opisyal na simulan muli ang mga gaganaping festival dance competition ng junior high school, pinasigla ang programa ng isang masiglang pagtatanghal mula sa Performing Guild. Sa kanilang sabay-sabay na galaw at masiglang tugtugin agad nilang napaangat ang enerhiya ng mga manonood at nagbigay ng masiglang panimula sa mga susunod na pagtatanghal na nagsilbing hudyat sa muling pagbubukas ng paligsahan.
Matapos ang opening performance, agad namang sinundan ng makukulay at makabuluhang presentasyon mula sa mag-aaral ng ika-7 baitang. Ipinamalas nila ang iba’t ibang pista sa pilipinas gaya ng ati atihan festival, kadayawan festival, tinalak festival, panagbenga festival, at hermosa festival ibinida nila ang iba’t ibang festival sa pamamagitan ng sayaw, musika, at makukulay na kasuotan, naipakita nila ang kultura, tradisyon, at kasiyahan ng mga komunidad na kanilang ginagampanan.
Samantala, hindi naman nagpahuli ang mga magaaral sa ika-8 baitang sa kanilang makapangyarihang mga pagtatanghal. Binigyang buhay ang mga pista gaya ng ibalong festival, mango festival, pistado festival, at pahiyas festival ay binigyang diin sa pagpapahalaga sa tradisyon, pag-unlad ng komunidad, at pagkakaisa ng mga mamamayan, na nagdagdag ng sigla at kagalakan sa patuloy na festival dance competition
