𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬, together with trainees from Miguel Dairy Farm, embarked on an enriching educational visit to the DA-Philippine Carabao Center, a hub of innovation and excellence in carabao-based enterprise.

The tour was facilitated by Mr. 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐨 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧, Administrative Assistant VI under the Knowledge Management Division. During the activity, trainees and interns gained meaningful insights about the DA-PCC’s functions and were introduced into its facilities, including National Livestock Cryobank where semen for artificial insemination is stored to ensure long-term viability. They also visited Gene Pool where they learned about different buffalo breeds and existing housing systems. The tour likewise provided an overview of the milk processing plant, where various products made from carabao’s milk and meat are produced and showcased.

The visit also highlighted the importance of value-adding through the milk processing plant, where trainees witnessed how raw carabao’s milk is transformed into high-quality products, bridging production with agribusiness opportunities.
This experience not only strengthened their technical knowledge but also inspired a deeper appreciation for the role of innovation in sustainable agriculture.

Truly, a day of learning, discovery, and inspiration for future agriculture/agripreneurs!

Representing with elegance and determination, Missy Victoria showcased not only beauty but also intelligence and poise throughout the competition.

Her achievement reflects the spirit of dedication and excellence, bringing pride to the Agribusiness community and to those who continuously support her journey. Missy’s performance on stage proved that confidence and hard work truly shine in moments that matter most.

A new chapter of professional growth has officially begun as interns commenced their 600 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 internship at the 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒅𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑵𝑰𝑨) – 𝑪𝑨𝑴𝑹𝑰𝑺 on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 10, 2026.

The interns were warmly welcomed by the NIA–CAMRIS team, where they were introduced to the agency’s mission, ongoing projects, and workplace culture. As part of the National Irrigation Administration, CAMRIS plays a vital role in supporting irrigation systems and contributing to agricultural development across the country.

During the orientation, supervisors emphasized professionalism, teamwork, and hands-on learning encouraging interns to take full advantage of the opportunity to gain real-world experience in public service and infrastructure management.

The internship program aims to equip students with practical skills, industry knowledge, and valuable insights into government operations. As they begin their journey, these young professionals are expected to contribute fresh ideas and enthusiasm while learning from experienced mentors in the field.

With high hopes and determination, the interns step into this new environment ready to grow, serve, and make a meaningful impact.

BSAB Student interns officially commenced their 600 Hours on-the-job training at 𝑴𝒊𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒍 𝑫𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒚 𝑭𝒂𝒓𝒎, 𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑩𝒓𝒈𝒚. 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂, 𝑺𝒂𝒏 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆, 𝑵𝒖𝒆𝒗𝒂 𝑬𝒄𝒊𝒋𝒂 on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 10, 2026 marking the start of their hands-on exposure to dairy farm operations and livestock management.

The internship orientation was led by the farm’s co-owners, who shared their expertise and practical knowledge with the interns. Sir 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐟𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨 𝐈𝐈, co-owner of Miguel Dairy Farm, conducted a detailed demonstration of the 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒔 𝑻𝒆𝒔𝒕 (𝑪𝑴𝑻) procedure, emphasizing its importance in detecting mastitis in dairy cattle and ensuring milk quality and animal health.

Meanwhile, Ma'am 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐜𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐟𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨, also a co-owner, formally welcomed the interns and introduced the essential do’s and don’ts of the farm. She highlighted proper farm conduct, safety protocols, and ethical practices that interns must observe throughout their training period.

The internship program is conducted under the supervision and guidance of Sir 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁. 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, Department Chair and OJT Adviser, who continues to support students in gaining meaningful industry experience aligned with their academic training.

The internship at Miguel Dairy Farm aims to equip students with practical skills, professional discipline, and real-world knowledge, preparing them for future careers in agriculture and animal science.

BSAB Student interns officially began their internship at 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜, located in 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞 2𝐧𝐝, 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐦, 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧, on 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 03, 2026. The internship program aims to provide hands-on experience and practical exposure in an agricultural work environment.

The interns were warmly welcomed and oriented by Ma'am 𝐋𝐞𝐚 𝐀𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐓. 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐨 , the owner of Our Farm Republic, who personally conducted the orientation session. During the activity, Ms. Santiago introduced the interns to the farm’s operations, workplace policies, and expectations, emphasizing professionalism, discipline, and experiential learning throughout their training period.

The internship program is conducted under the supervision and guidance of Sir 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐁. 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳, Department Chair and OJT Adviser, who continues to support and monitor the students’ on-the-job training to ensure alignment with academic requirements and industry standards.
