Sine-Sulong is an annual event of the TAU-CAS Department of Development Communication that celebrates the power of media in promoting development and progress. Sine-Sulong brings together students, enthusiasts, and advocates of development communication to showcase their creativity on how media can effectively communicate development initiatives to the public. This event aims to showcase the impact of media in inspiring positive change, fostering collaboration, and encouraging active participation in various development efforts.

Sine-Sulong will not hold its university-wide screening this semester following the changes in the academic calendar and the ongoing preparations for the Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (BSDC) Accreditation.

In light of these developments, the implementation of Sine-Sulong activities will be temporarily paused to allow the program to align with the universityโ€™s current academic and institutional priorities.

The pause is intended to provide adequate time and resources for the university community to focus on the adjusted academic calendar and the requirements of the BSDC Accreditation, while ensuring that future Sine-Sulong activities can continue to uphold the quality and purpose of the initiative.

Sine-Sulong remains committed to providing a platform for meaningful stories, creative expression, and development communication. Its temporary pause does not mark the end of the initiative, but rather a necessary adjustment in response to the current academic landscape.

Further announcements regarding the resumption of Sine-Sulong activities and the next university-wide screening will be released in due time.

Pormal nang binuksan ng Department of Development Communication ng Tarlac Agricultural University ang ikaapat na edisyon ng College-Wide Sine-Sulong, tampok ang mga bagong dokumentaryong tumatalakay sa iba't ibang isyung panlipunan, sa Farmers Training Center noong Abril 17.

Ibinida ngayong taon ang anim na bagong dokumentaryo na likha ng mga second-year Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (BSDC) students.

Tampok sa pang-umagang sesyon ang "Sala-Salang Buhay," na tumatalakay sa hirap ng mga pasyenteng sumasailalim sa dialysis; ang "Sukdulang Biyaya," na sumasalamin sa realidad ng pagkain ng pagpag; at ang "Sa Labas ng Talaan," na nagbibigay-boses sa mga batang hindi rehistrado.

Sinundan ito ng mga panghapong palabas, kabilang ang mga obrang "Dos por Dos," na naglalantad sa mundo ng pagsusugal; "Kolorete," na sumisipat sa sining at hirap na kinakaharap ng mga nag-aayos ng mga taong yumao; at "Hatol," na naglalarawan sa kalagayan ng mga bilanggong matagal nang naghihintay ng hatol sa kanilang mga kaso.

Layunin ng nasabing programa na magbigay ng bagong perspektiba sa mga manonood tungkol sa iba't ibang isyung panlipunan at bigyang-diin ang kahalagahan ng mga ito sa pagkamit ng mga Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Before we dive into a day of impactful documentaries, please take note of these reminders to ensure a smooth and meaningful experience for everyone:

1๏ธโƒฃ Keep it silent. Turn off or set your mobile phones to silent mode. Avoid texting or taking calls during the screenings.

2๏ธโƒฃ Respect the moment. Please minimize noise and refrain from talking while the films are playing. Letโ€™s give our full attention to the stories being told.

3๏ธโƒฃ No recording. Strictly no photography or video recording inside the Amphitheater. Production personnel will enforce this policy.

4๏ธโƒฃ Stay seated. Once the screening begins, remain in your seats. Step out only when necessary.

5๏ธโƒฃ Know your exits. In case of emergencies, calmly proceed to the exit points located on both sides of the stage.
