​Under the strategic leadership of School Principal III, Dr. Melannie T. Sangoyo, the Department of Education Region III – Central Luzon has awarded Sta. Lucia National High School a Certificate of Recognition for its Outstanding Accomplishment on the Establishment and Functionality of the School Governance Council (SGC). This prestigious validation recognizes the school's strict compliance with DepEd Order No. 26, series of 2022, and its unwavering commitment to providing quality basic education through active, shared governance.

​The award was officially presented today, June 18, 2026, during the Regional Awarding of Functional School Governance Council (SGC) and Capacity Building on Expanded School Governance held at the Hacienda Gracia Resort and Hotel in Lubao, Pampanga.

​Earlier today at exactly 9:00 AM, the students, faculty, and staff of Sta. Lucia National High School actively took part in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).

​With the sound of the siren, everyone practiced the vital "DUCK, COVER, AND HOLD" procedure and smoothly proceeded to their designated evacuation areas.

​​𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨?
Disasters are unpredictable, but our preparedness shouldn't be. Regular drills like the NSED are crucial in building muscle memory, ensuring that everyone knows exactly what to do in the event of an actual earthquake. By practicing evacuation routes and safety protocols today, we lessen panic and save lives tomorrow.

​This successful drill was supervised and closely monitored by our school head, Dr. Melannie T. Sangoyo, Principal III, alongside the SLNHS DRRM Team, the Wins-Drm Club, and the SLNHS Scouts, who all ensured the safe and orderly ex*****on of the activity.

​We are proud to share a glimpse of the main control room in the ongoing construction of our Radio Booth inside the Special Program in Journalism Laboratory (SPJ Lab), alongside the newly installed speakers for campus-wide broadcasting! 🎙️📢

​As part of SLNHS's commitment to excellence and a safer learning environment, this system serves a vital dual purpose. Beyond streamlining daily information dissemination, the 12 o’clock community prayers, and regular time checks, this network will serve as a core tool for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM)—ensuring real-time alerts, swift coordination, and immediate safety broadcasts during campus drills and emergencies.

​Our voices can now truly be heard across the entire campus, keeping every student and staff member informed and protected. This milestone is a testament to the fact that under the visionary leadership of our Principal III, Dr. Melannie T. Sangoyo, everything is possible!
