Jaro Plaza was established in 1927. It was designed by Father Juan Aguado, and the construction was led by Demetrio Ledesma, who later became Presidente Municipal. During the 1930s, this plaza was already known as one of the most beautiful in Panay. You can really feel the history when you walk around—there are old-style archways, well-maintained hedges, benches, and a central bandstand that gives it that classic feel.
