Moreover, we believe that psychology should not just stay inside the classroom or on the pages of a reviewer. True learning happens when we step out of the lectures and create spaces where students can breathe, connect, and prioritize their own well-being. Thus, the 𝗨𝗖𝗖 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 values not just the heavy textbook concepts and understanding complex theories; it also gives a truly worthwhile, practical experience for students through vibrant events aimed at actively caring for their mental health.

Choosing psychology is also choosing to earnestly listen. In a world full of noise, it is a conscious commitment to offer a safe, empathetic space where others feel truly seen, validated, and understood.

Serving as a class rep is a special kind of leadership— balancing your own heavy academic workload while selflessly carrying the voice and relaying the questions of the entire class. You didn’t lead from a distance; you led from the front lines, walking right beside us, offering a helping hand and listening ears to help us get by.

Kaya sa naganap na kumbensiyon, hinamon tayong balikan ang ating pinagmulan, tuklasin ang mga makabagong perspektiba, at sumulong nang may matatag na paninindigan.

Bilang mga mag-aaral ng sikolohiya, dala natin ang hamon na isabuhay ang mga aral na ito hindi lamang sa akademya kundi higit sa lahat, sa ating komunidad. Patuloy tayong makikinig, makikiramdam, at kikilos para sa kapakanan ng bawat Pilipino.

Mental health does not begin in adulthood—it starts from the very first moments a child learns to understand the world around them. For 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, we are reminded that a child’s emotional world is just as vast and significant as our own. Teaching children that it is okay to feel and express their emotions is the greatest gift we can give them, because every tantrum, every shy silence, and every joyful burst of laughter reflects an important part of their growth and development.

When we provide a safe and supportive space for them to express themselves—be it sadness, frustration, excitement, or fear—we do more than comfort them; we are building the foundation of their lifelong resilience. Instead of trying to immediately fix how they feel, we should learn to acknowledge and validate their experiences.
